Disclaimer: I have not played Forgotten Gods.

Of all the bases up to AoM, I like the Coven the best. It's only one that really feels like an actual town.
The rest all have this feel of desperation about them. They're outposts and forts more than homes, one good assault away from becoming burnt out rubble.

Sure there's danger around the Coven area, but they seem to have a good handle on it.

I vote Devil's crossing, cause that's the place I feel more custom to.I spend most time there and really is iconic place. For music I like Sewers the most.Devil's crossing is quite pleasant and calm too.

Because the people there are desperate for survival. The witches on the Coven are still relatively safer since the aetherials haven't traversed ugdenbog yet. The coven is located in a pretty sweet spot.

Sewer Hideout for me, forget about ugly Steelcap district

My reason is that atmosphere and they nailed it even further when adding that soundtrack as it adds a sense of calmness in the middle of a storm

This is one of the best soundtracks along with the dark and depressing Candle District track and Devil's Crossing Track.

Fuck lonely moon it still gives me flashbacks of krieg/terrnox/valaxteria/Theodin farming.

Now back to being serious: Thematically, favorite is homestead. It feels like crate's design peaked there in act 3. Two factions in one place, three enemies, two large side areas (Pine Barrens branch, and the Amalgamation branch which is technically still part of the mainline) and lots of things to do. Spawn point is in a great place, riftgate a little too far away, and lack of inventor/spirit guide makes it less valuable than the others.

Value? I say Devil's Crossing (Inventor & vendors close to riftgate, Spirit guide too until malmouth BS happens) followed by Vanguard (which has all three but a shitty riftgate placement which makes things uncomfortable if you need inventor or blacksmith services, and you aren't a lollerskate keeper or a dev with warpcursor).

Yes, my favorite tune with the Port Valbury one.

I voted Coven because I like the music, the design of the camp. The only thing disturbing is the permanent buff you have when you check your stash. Impossible to get the right info on your resistances and then I have to migrate to Devil's Crossing.
