1. Increased cast speed for moar AAR. The whole point was to make a build FOCUSED on AAR, and to show how badly it needs to be buffed.

2. IMO, 18% WD to AAR is meh. You have to use a caster off-hand to use AAR, which limits you to a 1H weapon, and in turn means you benefit less from the 18% WD.

I believe the ammy itself gives 75 damage to AAR.

To get a similar value, you would need a total flat damage value of 417 damage. With most caster weapons having a meager WD value of ~70-80, you would struggle reach said 417 flat damage pool.

thanks. i do agree it needs a buff. pretty much everyone does.

1. so... cast speed does affect skills with countdown too? i thought it only affected non-cd skills like calidor, transmuted forcewave, prm, etc... sorry to bug you so but i cant find a clear answer as to how exactly casting speed works anywhere on the net...

2. thanks for the math. seems youre right. essence of grim dawn boosts aar output even with flat from maxed spectral binding and fabric of reality (not as drastically though...). however, other stuff from the conduit might be worth it (some minor energy drain, plus to skills, upped max res), i dont know... kinda hard to dump it after you thought you hit the jackpot crafting it...

3. wouldn't pulsing shard be an alternative to flashwarped tome here?

1. Cast speed affects all channeling spell. The little timer you see on the description is actually a mini cooldown needed to re-channel AAR should you stop channeling it.

2. If it works for you, it works for you. Conduit definitely offers more defense at the cost of AAR's damage. HOWEVER, it may very well be better given that:
- Most of our DPS comes from devastation
- AAR might as well stand for Albrecht's Aether Regret.

Remember, this isn't a toon designed with maximum DPS in mind. It is a showcase toon designed to prove the abysmal state of AAR.

3. Pulsing shard offers crit damage and energy cost reduction. We need neither since we have a very healthy %crit chance from both elemental balance and AAR's modifier.

IMO, flat damage is the way to go.
