I LOVE this idea.

And Discord is awful..so awful


On a side note...
Ive always thought Nightblades should get their their own "LMB" skill so people can stop creating Blademasters lol.

At this point I only make Blademasters for %cunning and a 30% hp heal.

%stat skills are incredibly powerful and a % based heal is just sick. My tank PRM Spellbreaker has 9k hp to fully abuse it.

It also sucks that i now have to spam energy pots on my SWORD/BOARD Spellbreaker because they thought DW Cadence was too strong but the ramifications have no affected us 1hd cadence users also

I'd say LethalGambit is Mw1 skill, although its based on cooldown.

I'd also warrent savagery is a better mw1 skill than Cadence for duel wield purely because it doesn't override animations every 3rd strike like Cadence does.

a cadence proc is better than any WPS proc, so there's nothing that you wouldn't want to override.

Little egg on my face, I thought I had optimized my gear on my sword and board Cadence battlemage, but I found a few augments that were missing and a few pieces of gear that I could upgrade. Once I fixed everything, my DPS went up to 5,900 which is acceptable at lvl 50 when you are wearing a shield.

My crits are still not anywhere near what too is getting (~7,500), but my clear speed went up enough that it feels alright when balanced against the survivability I get from wearing a shield.

Still a little unhappy with the mana cost of Cadence, but only because it's draining mana faster than I'm finding mana potions to replenish it. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if there was some energy regen on heavy armor, but there isn't.

It is weird they chose to balance it like that though it puts it in line with the other LMB skills in the soldier tree (and not in a good way) where you can't really use them without using an energy pot, stacking some spirit or energy stats (talking DW Cadence here, 2H is spammable no problem).

Not a very good design IMO though I'm sure some people here think it adds some kind of gameplay depth. Why LMB skills in a purely physical tree cost semi-significant energy is beyond me when Savagery, skill in a hybrid tree, can be spammed with no problem (Savagery costs 11, Blade Arc 29, Forcewave 27, Cadence 7). Yes Cadence is obviously less than Savagery but most people use Savagery with 2H and Cadence with DW, there's just no excuse for Blade Arc's and Forcewave costs though.

I still cannot understand how conversion works with skills which have weapon damage.
If conversion on weapon damage comes after applying skill modifiers then Discord is garbage. This +%elemental damage is useless if main source of elemental damage on weapon will appear after applying discord modifiers.
If weapon damage ALWAY comes to skill already converted then Discord is not bad. +33% damage for 1 point is nice trade.

I even read old thread with funny Ceno schema. And still cannot find answer on this question.
