..Xanadu Next? Anyone played this? Looks like it has an oldskool charm and isometric gameplay, but inventory and loot...?

it's pretty much done, just waiting on 2 more acts, 3 right now.

End game 1000+ "levels" Magnetic Orb Templar gameplay, a bit like D3 greater rifts, super crazy

Warhammer 40k Inquisitor Martyr.

Its not even in alpha yet.

After waiting for years for Lineage Eternal and Lost Ark... I think its going to beat them both to the market.

God I completely forgot about those two... they aren't coming out, I feel like they've been indefinitely cancelled, production for as long as GD but ... with a full dev team.

I just saw this one : http://store.steampowered.com/app/404590/ that seems to be coming soon (early 2017 apparently). I don't know anything about it but i'll probably buy it anyway. Vikings and their mythologie ! I can't pass that.

(I'm also waiting for Wolcen to come out. But it will take a lot more time it seems)

And it's coming to Linux! That will certainly get my attention, I hope it's good...

Thank goodness Grim Dawn works fairly well through Wine...

Been waiting to play that one for a few months too. Viking myths are cool.

Hell who am I kidding, I love all mythology based things... Take TQ for instance, heh.

Vikings - Wolves of Midgard looks fun : good looking engine, dodge rolling.
But a few weeks ago it seemed to lack endgame content : No random dungeon, and a crafting system instead of infinite loot combinaison.

Wait : no random random loot in a hack slash ?!That's why I didn' followed this game...

But just a few days ago, on january 12, one of the devs said (yes he used capital letters !):
Quote:
Let me shed some light here as it seems there is a lot of misunderstanding on this topic (I am the developer of Vikings).
1. We originally wanted to have much less loot and make it really different and give player opportunity to craft the items themselves. But we found out during the testing that this concept would require something different so we decided to return to more typical formulae of more item drops.
2. After further testing we were still not happy with the loot system, so we added random and procedural properties for the items.

Now the system works really well I believe:
WE HAVE RANDOM LOOT
WE HAVE RANDOM ITEM PROPERTIES
WE DON'T DROP ZILLIONS OF ITEMS FROM EACH ENEMY BUT WE DROP REASONABLE AMOUNTS TO MAKE THE ITEMS MORE VALUABLE AND NOT BOTHER SO MUCH WITH THRASH
WE STILL RETAINED RESOURCES SYSTEM, CRAFTING SYSTEM AND RUNESMITHING SYSTEM ON TOP OF THE REGULAR LOOT

I hope this clarifies it
This changes everything for me.But isn't it a little too late to introduce and balance random enchantment on loot just two month before the release date ?

This kind of information is crucial for players, why didn't they posted something official to tell the players : We introduce random affix on loot = endgame content, huge replayability.
That's one of the most important feature in any hack and slash and the reason players are farming !
Also what are those properties : only borring buff to stats or more interesting features : procs skill on hit, on low health, modify skills, more projecile, Aoe increased radius..etc
Really I don't understand why they didn't take the time to explain what will be their loot system.

Wolves of Midgard looks interesting, and seems to put a decent emphasis on the "action" part of ARPG, too.

No amount of loot combinations is going to keep me playing if the actions performed while farming/grinding aren't interesting, or, even if they are interesting, it's too much of a chore to get anywhere.
