Default Theorycrafting DW chaos pistol Deceiver, need help

Here's what I have so far :
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/qNYeKn7N

Most of the deceivers I've seen felt like mostly one or the other class with just a touch from the other class, wanted something that's a bit more of a mixture. I wanted to try out a DW pistol one since it's something that's hard to get without an inquisitor, just happened to have darkblaze incinerator sitting around, pulled out the full set to try it out. The rest of the gear was just sitting around in my stash, not fully optimized or anything.

Ranged expertise gives a lot of attack speed, as does witchfire. Death Sentence gives -25% chaos RR, darkblaze gives -25% chaos RR to CoF, Eldritch fire can give -23% as well.

There's a pretty absurd amount of flat chaos given from witchfire and possession, and darkblaze source will convert blood of dreeg to it as well.

Basically, use darkblaze garb set with 2x incinerators. An alternative is to use dual bloodsworn repeaters with awesome rolls, but I have one vampiric of alacrity and it doesn't seem to even touch darkblaze (they are really common though, if one wants the concept without darkblaze). Grimtools shows it as having 200% AS, but I have no idea how (in game it's 183%, without hungering void or battle cry. Says more attacks per second in game as well, 3.61 vs 3.59).

Also, to get around the issue of manueverability that ranged builds have, the second weapon set is a swap to a melee weapon with a riftstone that will let you get out of tight spots if you get cornered by a crowd (this is pretty key to crucible).

I picked deadgod over abomination because there's no physical damage dealt by the build to convert anyways, and hungering void does seem more thematic.

Here's an alternate devotion setup that lets you get dead god + abomination
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/bVAEWnRV . I think it sacrifices too much to really be usable though.

It also just kinda looks cool to shoot :

Issues :
poor AoE. It's why I only picked bursting round from inquisitor WPS. Burning void also helps, but those are also small AOE, same with doombolt. Word of Pain doesn't have enough points to kill anything but weak trash. Lowish armor, survivability (only 12 points in seal). 2673 DA isn't awful, but it's also not great. Energy regen is kinda low, but energy usage is similarly low (an occasional energy pot may be needed, but we're talking like after 2-3 minutes of nonstop casting). It pretty much only deals chaos damage, and even with -73% chaos RR that may not be sufficient for a few enemies (Benn'jahr took a while). It is unlikely to ever be able to do 150-170 crucible, but it's still quite a bit of fun.

Doom bolt may not be necessary, not sure where the points would be better spent, however. The rings, relic, and medal are all basically placeholders - I'm sure there's better items. Same for the pants, and may also be the case for the gloves and chest.

Korsar made the pyromancer version
http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63371
BladeAndShadow made his version of this build
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/q2MMO142

It clears 100-150 gladiator reliably, no problems with aoe.
Maybe you can learn something from there.

About 150-170: I wouldn't even bother trying something other than kiting caster or superdefensive tank unless they change something.

I might consider picking up Chilling Rounds and Storm Spread to help a bit with the damage output. Chilling Rounds fires 4 shots when you proc it, Storm Spread fires 2 times with 4-5 shots each. Given the weapon damage% gets included into all those shots, they are a pretty good boost in damage, even if they add lightning and cold to it as well. The majority of the damage is still from your weapon.

Could definitely do them over doombolt, I guess? Could also pull some points from blood of dreeg if I didn't mind giving up some OA and flat chaos damage. I definitely wanted chilling rounds when I started this.

Storm spread seems so widespread that the full fragments only seem to hit someone right in front of you. Definitely good in crucible, but I was hunting down blood cultists for their pistol and it basically wasted about 30-40% of the shots.

Thanks, I'm looking at the devotions now. Looks like they went chariot of the dead over hydra, which makes sense because the pierce damage is wasted.
