I am guessing if they ever find your corpse this post would serve as motive for the crime

It'd be a Murder on the Orient Express situation.

I never got around to reading that, well I have never read a book in my life but that's a different matter (not exaggerating, reading isn't my forte). But mystery in general interests me and I wanted to start off with two of her novels - this one and Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Some dickhead spoiled the suspense for me (for both these novels) after that I never could bring myself to even touch them

There's actually a new Orient Express movie in theaters right now. No idea if it's any good, but still.

I saw a recent movie based on Agatha Christie's novel, it's called The Crooked House. The movie sucked so bad and was so bland and predictable that I literally lost my excitement for watching any Mystery related stuff for about a week or so.
I get it adapting Novels is really hard but seriously even if you tried a bit you can't make a movie that bad. I don't know how good/bad the novel actually is but I doubt Agatha Christie wrote like a 12 year old

Agatha Christie is such a fine, spare writer that I just read her books to enjoy the language. Even if you know what happens, reading how it happens is still worth it. Still, if you want to try something else by her, check out my two favorites: Cards on the Table and The Hollow. They're equally brilliant, but in very different ways.

The only other mysteries I reread for pleasure are Chesterton's.
