Default Wading not Swiming

Howdy,

I searched the forums again and Failed to see this topic. If this was posted I apologize please direct me

I was curious if there will be wading thought rivers and ponds, or even wading 30-50 feet from shore. (sea creature combat?) When I mean wading I'm referring to simply chest high water or simply crossing a short deep spot in a stream. I'm not referring to doing the butterfly or freestyle swimming across a deep ocean or lake, nor am I referring to simply puddle walking thought ankle high water.

Thanks,

Yes, you'll be able to cross and fight in shallow water. We currently have an extensive area of swampland around the starting town. There won't be swimming though. Deep water is uncrossable.

Very nice, gives a welcome bit of variety to the combat.

Will being partially in water affect any combat skills/styles or magic/technology?

Very cool! Will wading through water cause ripples and waves that in turn push objects around?

That would be cool for sure. I love how realistic running through water is in TQ.

A movement speed reduction for chest-high water would be cool

Wading into water will cause a 100% reduction in movement speed!

So you need a +x% movement speed modifier before you can wade. Great

Boots of water walking: 10% chance to increase water walking speed by 5%.
