Default Titan Quest

I didn't see another place to discuss this. I'm replaying Titan Quest again right now, and I just want to say.... what a great game!

My highest character ever was a Ranger, which I took to 60+... I took all the bow skills from Hunting, maxed Wolves and Heart of Oak... that was a fun character. Archer + pets.

Then I made a Warden, which I still feel is one of the best possible characters... Defense + Hunting. Great all-around spear & shield warrior.

Now that I'm playing again I started 3 characters. I'm making another Warden, an Oracle, and a Spellbreaker! The Spellbreaker is going to be a dual-wielding, life-leeching killing machine.

There are still masteries that I have never even tried once yet (Rogue, Earth, probably more.)

What a great game!

Just picked up TQ for the first time. Played the demo a bit but should be interesting.

I'm replaying it also, but am playing with the Underlord mod. I never had any problems with the original (vanilla) TQ, but am dying like crazy with this mod. I never thought that I "sucked", but now I have to revise my opinion of my gaming skills. I just may end up going back to the vanilla TQ if this keeps up, as I am not the kind of person that likes dying every couple of minutes. I really wish this mod started out a bit easier & gradually increased the difficulty.

But TQ is an epic game. Make sure you get the Immortal Throne expansion as well. They truly are underrated games that top my list of must own games.

Yea i believe the mods that modify skill tree's add tons of replay value. Paths and Undelord are probably the best mods I have played thus far.

As far as gameplay changes i prefer Lilith, also very fun if you play with a skill tree modifier.

Right now TQ:IT is my go to game when I have time to play. That and Dragon Age: Origins. I'm trying to wrap up a Harbinger (lvl 62 Act III Legendary) and Ranger (lvl 43 Act I Epic). I have a couple other toons and builds, but I keep firing up those. When and if I get bored I'll start adding in the mods. No need just yet. TQVault is like an OCD disease with me - I need to collect everything.

My modded game keeps crashing to the Windows desktop, so I un-installed it & deleted all the mods, then re-installed the game w/o the mods.
I think I will be sticking to the vanilla TQ. The Underlord mod introduced some nice things, but I just wasn't having much fun with it. Way too many enemies for my taste.
Besides, I thought that the original TQ (with IT expansion) was nearly perfect as it is. So, I doubt I will be installing any more mods.

I have played since day 1 release with standard TQ. I have tried mods but I think the standard game was fleshed out rather well especially with the player patch tossed into the mix.

I miss the combat and pimp graphics of TQ:IT so I'm about to re-roll a character. I'm usually a sword and shield man so I was gonna try something different, probably Hunter class using Bows. Quick question, what's the best crowd control skill for a hunter to use? I saw that it has that throw net skill, but that's only one enemy at a time right? I think I need to use a crowd control skill from another class, but which one?

Actually....I really like throwing that net. I like the idea of switching to spears for close combat too (using bows when enemies are right in my face feels weird). I may just go full hunter class. Perhaps I can rely on the special abilities of artifacts to protect me when I'm swarmed...

Edit: Is it just me or is Nessus - The Centaur Chieftain a real pain in normal mode?

Considering the proc rate for artifact abilities are somewhere in between. "very rarely" and "When the time of day is a palindrome on a Friday when all the planets are in alignment," I wouldn't count on it.
