So... when will this game be in Beta?

I want to apologize, but the website isn't exactly clear about all of this. When does this game go into beta? I want to buy the 35$ pack, but not until the beta is out. Thanks

Here's the official info:

Update #17: What happens next?: When will the alpha / beta be ready?!
Our current estimate is that alpha may be ready by the end of this year or early next year. We're working our hardest to make this happen as soon as possible but we need to produce a certain amount of continuous, playable content and complete certain technical tasks before this can happen.

We expect beta to follow 4-6 months after alpha and then estimate August 2013 for the full release.

I signed up today got the 35.00 package i got the game key but no beta key, also any word when the beta will be rdy?

I would assume the key works for the beta too. Alpha is supposed to be late this / early next year, with beta maybe 4 months after that, so it sounds like about April of next year for beta.

I'm all for getting alphas and betas and gammas and thetas, but I will wait YEARS if that's what it takes for Crate to release a polished, finished product.
