I'm with Crate all the way, I hope you guys do very well with this game, I'd love to see a sequel with many of the features you'd of otherwise put in the game.
Of course, I will be playing Diablo 3 also.

Thanks for the support.
I will certainly be playing D3 as well. It could seriously delay the final release of Grim Dawn! I think what we will try to do is release a limited alpha ahead of D3, if possible, so people can get a taste of what we're working on and then we can grind away finishing the game while everyone is engrossed in D3 and hopefully catch people on the other side with the full release when they're ready to try something new. |

Oh, you guys just worry about making an awesome game. I know once I get a handle on Grim Dawn alpha, I'll provide as much feedback and bug reports as I possibly can, I'll try to make my writing sound complimentary, while digging into the meat of the game.
I feel that Diablo 3 will bring a large audience to the genre, and once you guys release Grim Dawn, you'll have something awesome to provide for all those new converts. I want you guys to get a good gamer score because sadly that's how the new generations seem to work... so don't release if you don't have to.

Indie developers will always be the underdogs, as long as the game you're producing isn't really really bad... then you'll be fine in all respects.
We as a fan base can only do so much to help you in your development, but in the end it will come down to the feel and experience the game provides. If that experience is totally out of whack, then unfortunately there痴 not much that can salvage it. Just remember that you have a theme, features that go along with that theme matter a lot because it adds to the experience. I知 no developer or game designer, but as a player I can say that games that have really well drawn themes also have really well drawn experiences. I値l try and remember that compliment sandwich for when the Alpha comes out. Maybe you should post it along with the alpha for some meat-grinding guidance. I値l be posting my experience of the pure game, not the buggy game that will be fixed. So you値l have some raw data to look over for the experience of the game, which will be important I think. Maybe you値l notice some trend with other testers. I really can稚 wait to try the game out though.

Some peeps will be happy to learn that a possible limited alpha is on the way (thank you Blizzard). I'll spread the word, it could very well give you new subscribers
. People like me ready to hack and slash the awful alpha's bugs et crashes .And I'm not scared with the diablo 3 launch. Yes, they are Blizzard. But you did Titan Quest, and the two games are differents, even if the two games are H&S they have their own identity. If you don't try to copy Diablo and become a clone, you'll have fans and a lot of peeps ready to play both games. PS as usual sorry for my childish english .

I would like to apologize for the "everything random" post...NOT everything will be random, but what makes the game more exciting...like the things that drop from the monsters and stuff...I don't know for sure more about it, but I've seen somewhere that the randomisation of the game will far exceed that of Diablo 2...maybe monsters with different skills and things like that....weapons...
And also, it's good to know that the developpers of GD will play Diablo 3 like Hell(if you get the joke) when it will come out... I am a big fan of Diablo...I've read the books too

Don't worry about D3 medierra because that will be wasted effort. All the gaming-magazines and the press will have a royal orgasm about it even if it comes out as a Pong-Clone there is no studio in the world that could compete much less an indie-studio.
I like your plan with releasing a small alpha before D3 comes out and releasing the final game when the massive hype is over however you WILL be compared with D3 by everyone and magazines will claim that you are trying to hop on the D3-hype even if you had started your development in 1899. Now all the negativity aside: I am looking forward to GD alot more than to D3. It is just so much cooler to be that close to the developers and (at least getting the feeling of) having a small influence on how the game turns out. This and I kind of know what to expect of D3, I doubt that there will be any huge suprises anymore aside from Blizzard's trollcface-announcement that that game will be released in parts with each chapter coming out as a fulprice-title "because they put so much effort into it, that it is just worth nothing less" (Quote from Blizzard regarding the split-release of SC2) Oh and thanks for the update :>
