Soldier - and I wish there was more than cadence for phy melee.
Maybe something like a whirlwind skill or ... well ...sniff...

Soldier all the way!! I think I am only missing Battlemage so far. I have a natural tendency towards tanks, just loving to be in the mid of huge mobs smashing 'em down.

I kind of wish I could change my vote now - I still like Shaman, but have been using a basically pure Arcanist (although a Druid for survivability) and it's now my fave class. And it has great synergy with Demo as a Sorcerer too.

Having started out as a soldier, thinking that would be the only I would go (and possibly Demo) - Arcanist, Occultist, and Shaman are actually my favourites! Thank you Crate for showing me the awesome capabilities of spellcasters!

Tough choices

I voted Nightblade

Looking at my highest level chars:
Commando x2 (one as tank/retaliation build, the other as 2-h ranged)
Pure Nightblade (soon to be reaper)
Blade master

In 7 chars the mastery returns 5 times. Soldier and Demo are good seconds.

Only missing trickster, got to lvl 30 or so, but not feeling the synergy currently - perhaps if the duel blades WPS's would also work for 2-h melee?
Though the combo cold, lightning, bleed, piercing should work. Perhaps I'll give it another try later on.

Arcanist because Albrecht's Aether Ray.

But you knew that already.

Nightblade is my mastery. I nearly never make a build without nightblades. They are very versatile! Also you can come up with freaked out builds that one wouldn't consider.

Second favorite is harder. I'm not sure if I like Demolitionist or Occultist more. Both great masteries for their own reasons.

The mastery I'm the least comfortable with would be the shaman. I just don't seem to like it. It has no appeal to me. Though there are a few skills that I like. But they're unfortunately not a real reason for me to make builds with it. Not one Character I played with Shaman got over 65. Though I eventually will try one build with it. But I'm afraid it won't be good.
