Default Skill Editing - Changing Skill Duration

Hey there, I'm pretty new to Grim Dawn, but always loved modding games so I'm already looking into it a bit.

One of the things I want to change is the duration of Blood of Dreeg, so it lasts a bit longer. I imported the files: skills > playerclass03 > bloodofdreeg1.dbr, bloodofdreeg1_buff.dbr, bloodofdreeg2.dbr.
From here I went to bloodofdreeg1_buff.dbr > Cast Config > and modified the skillActiveDuration field to 120.0.
But when I go ingame the duration is still default. Does anyone know what am I doing wrong?

You should only need the bloodofdreeg1_buff.dbr file.

Have you built the mod in the AssetManager? (shortcut: F7) Have you selected the mod on the main menu (Custom Game)?

If you want to edit the base game itself, you need to rebuild the entire contents of the game with your changes included, which takes roughly ten minutes.

I did not rebuild it, you really need to do that for every change? Damn. I tried it once and because it took so long I though by myself this cant be right, for each change..? So, I stopped it. After that the game didn't work anymore and I had to reinstall, was kind of silly inefficient.

Well building it once should include every change you've made all at once.

Stopping the build process in the middle of its operation is a sure way to corrupt something in the result.

To be fair, it has a button saying "Stop Building", which I read as a cancel button. It didnt warn me or anything.
