Howdy, DeadCtaft!

You can find a list of available commands by running the "help" command. It'll show you a list of available commands. You can also try "help <command>" to see more details if it's available.

If you're just getting started with the editor, please try "help show" and "help set". The very first post of this thread kind of walks through both of these commands also in slightly more detail.

---

Regarding resists, etc. Unfortunately, the game doesn't "save" those stats in the save file. Your resists and other boosts and effects are all derived from the items you have equipped and the masteries and skills you have chosen, which *are* in the save file.

It's possible to edit your equipment quite easily with the editor. Please see that first post though. =)

Do let me know if you've come across something you want to do but is painful to do with the editor. I'm always looking to add new features!

Default Save file errors

I've read through your guide and all comments, but i can't seem get it to input any items onto my character. After i set a new item onto my character it breaks and reset it back to level 1 then errors and cant even enter game. Are you able to help with this issue so i can set items to my characters?

Hi Aplax!

Can you give me a bit more detail on what exactly happened?
- What's the exact command you ran?
- Which version of the editor were you running when this happened? (the editor prints a [build xxxxxxx] on startup)
- Did you rename the character?
- Which version of the game were you running?
- When you wrote out the character file, was the game running?

---

It's very likely that this last point is the root of the problem. I've had a case of "character becoming blank level 1 character" when I did the following:
- At the game's character selection menu, alt-tab back the editor
- Alter and write out the character file, alt-tab back to the game
- Load the just altered character

The remedy for this particular case was to simply quit the game entirely before writing out the altered save file, then start the game back up.
