It's my coping mechanism to hide the existential dread I feel, because the one country most responsible for the existence of the internet is trying its hardest to turn it into a Randian hellscape. Which is terrible news for all of us.

Either that or it's short for "Peep if you hate me" ;P - probably thinks car horns sound like the kiddy toys he's constantly surrounded by

Another interesting read:

Comcast sounds like such a lovely business that will surely do nothing to undercut neutrality.

Minor victory today
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...rality-repeal/
Quote:
The US Senate today voted to reverse the Federal Communications Commission's repeal of net neutrality rules, with all members of the Democratic caucus and three Republicans voting in favor of net neutrality.
The Senate approved a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution that would simply undo the FCC's December 2017 vote to deregulate the broadband industry. If the CRA is approved by the House and signed by President Trump, Internet service providers would have to continue following rules that prohibit blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization.
Odds of house and president passing this however, near zero.

NET NEUTRALITY STOPPED INTERNET COMPANIES FROM OVER CHARGING. Also did not allow blocking of the internet.

Without NN, Com South and ATT (that i know of so far) have STOPPED ALLOWING UNLIMITED INTERNET. You now have to pay more money to watch videos. i wouldn't be surprised if they block website now, like youtube without you paying EXTRA first.

Thankfully the company i'm with hasn't screwed over customer yet. FCC and regulations are there to protect the people. Without regulations just look at every single market crash for the past 40+ years, all from deregulating. AKA FANCY WORD MEANING DE-POLICING.
