Unfortunately i cannot give you leveling guide. You pretty much cannot level as this build - you need lvl 50 chest to start the Aura + devotion thing. So if you have the chest, level however you like to lvl 50 , you can use cadence or dual pistols , whatever you like. As for attributes i have put everything into physique - couple days ago i've found Mythical Finger of Gar'Dalvur and i changed stats to 90/10 physique/spirit. I have some spirit on my green items aswell so it will depend on your other gear how much spirit you would need to equip that weapon.

sry, not allowed to post urls XS so paste this after grim/calc

my take on the auromancer. with better gear I think its quite possible to cap all resistents.
Totally not sure on the shield and weapon choice. But the build is quite tanky with this setup and can still deal quite a lot of dmg.
Aegis and exterminus could be a good choice too, but havent tried them yet.

Very nice idea with this build, thanks a lot. Its a ton of fun and I hope they wont nerf it into oblivion.

Default Leveling

This worked really well for me as far as leveling to 53:
grimtools calc with /YNnMGeAZ on the end (Sorry, I also cannot post links yet).

I rushed Word of Pain and used Ectoplasm to keep my mana up. Then pushed straight to Aura of Censure. I leveled to 30 in the crucible and started the base game with 20 devotions, so this decimated Veteran and is still going strong in Elite... though I realize Word of Pain isn't going to hold up in Ultimate. Which is a shame. I have never played a more powerful build in the early levels. I really love Word of Pain...

Devotion Path
Crossroads-Eldritch
Quill
[reclaim Crossroads-Eldritch]
Hawk
Crossroads-Ascendant
Rhowan's Crown (assign to Word of Pain)
Chariot of the Dead (assign to Aura of Censure)
Viper
Owl
Spider
Hydra
Blind Sage (assign to Word of Pain, move Elemental Storm to Inquisitor's Seal)
Lizard
Behemoth (assign to Field Command)
[reclaim left 3 points from Hydra that don't supply Elemental damage]
- If using 2 Handed: Kraken (right 3 talents for damage)
- if using 1 Handed: Jackel or Eel depending on needs

Fortunately I lucked out and just picked up my Rune Armor of Ignaffar and can start moving into the Auramancer build.

He's just showcasing the minimum required gear to make the concept of this build work. Basically it doesn't really matter what weapon or shield you are using, what matters is the "Seal of Blades" components attached to them.

Helm is MI - drops from Ekket'Zul, Progenitor of Darkness its a Boss Void Oppressor in the void just before you find Ulgrim.
Amulet and Chest are random drops but you can gamble for them at Legendary crafter in tyrant's hold - at least for regular versions not sure about mythics. You just need character with lvl around 50-60 and lots of mats.

I love those rings, proccing swirling PRM all around you is really satisfying.

They will. That being said the build is probably going to stay viable, because you can always bind your devotions to other stuff than auras. Said auras will keep proccing the missiles too.
