But that just proves my point... 10/10 scores are just as invalid as 1/10 scores really :P If I were to trust the user reviews that I read on Gamestop etc... I'd probably never buy another game again - or - would have a library completely filled with CoDuty clones. Grim Dawn certainly wouldn't see the light of day due to the small niche in the overall gamer world. -.-
EDIT - and note - this isn't against anyone who is unhappy with the game... everyone is quite entitled to their own opinion The problem that I see right now is that those unhappy with the game have entered into a "mob mentality" to some extent, and are forgetting that everyone's experiences might not mimic their own. it's when i start being told by others how I should view the game, or that my enjoyment is invalid because I "clearly don't understand" what blizz is doing that my hackles get raised.

After one month of playing D3 and one char in inferno i can say that D3 is a piece of crap. Crapy skillsystem, crapy lootsystem, and the classes lets play to similar. And the realmoneyAH would make the game to a "pay to win" game.
Im glad that i pay only 30Euro für this piece of garbage. Now i see that a game like TQ is far better and i hopefully look at GD. Sorry for my bad english! Last edited by Agora; 06-16-2012 at 11:54 AM. |

I actually enjoyed my first playthrough with my barbarain. Then I tried monk, finished act I and have had a miserable time mainly because I found the barb's skills more fun to use and the monk seems to be only reliant on the LMB. My initial impression of the other classes have left them at level 5 or so, but I have always preferred melee.
But yeah, it is quite sad. I start it up from time to time, thinking I should try harder to get into it (NOT a good sign for a game). Once the game runs its update and I finally get to play, I get to the next checkpoint, sell absolutely everything I found (with the possible exception of 1 yellow thing that gives me 1.1% more protection of 30 more vitality (whoopee)) and quit cause the game just feels totally pointless. Never has there been a game of this genre that I did not want to play at least 100 times the number of hours that I have played d3. Even Sacred 2 I finished twice and that was a similar level of boring. |

I play through a section, kill and loot virtually everything. Sell virtually everything that drops. The rest I'll try to sell on the AH (no, not the RMAH) a couple times before selling it off.
My barbarian stopped seeing upgrades when I started using the AH. Even the BEST drops I've found don't hold a candle to the cheapest crap I can get at the press of the buyout button on the AH. So what's the point? Play an act, gain some levels, earn some gold only to spend a few days re-arming myself via the AH and repeat the whole process again? It's...empty. It's shallow. It's boring. |

The problem is that they aren't separating drops from the different difficulties. So right now, for example, I'm buying Infernal based drops while I'm in Hell difficulty, so Hell drops don't hold a candle :P
And the impact of the RMAH can already be seen in the gold auction house. Before the RMAH opened, I bought a legendary hand crossbow for 15,000 gold (there were a lot of them up around that price). Yesterday, I sold the exact same hand crossbow on the AH for 100,000 gold (I was the cheapest of all of them by 25,000 gold...). A nice 70% profit margin :P Diablo 3 really needed to set gear as BoE imho... I have been able to buy gear, use it, and then sell it back for more than I bought it for :P
