NO! dont do that!

This would mean, that the tanks get all the items, i mean: ALL the items, if played multiplayer... This wouldnt be fair. The mages and rangers

If it is an option that the player can toggle to auto pickup or not auto pickup, then yes indeed, but... as Crate is a small team, if it's a choice between this and finishing the game I can live without auto pickup.

Thirdly, it may happen that a player does not see a potion. Autocollecting would be nice in those situations.

But i have to concede, that this option should be selectable and adjustable.

I agree. I find pots all the time. Picking them up in the middle of a swarm of enemies and navigating around to lure the baddies away from the pot you desperately need is all part of the game

That's a curious scenario... I don't think I've ever encountered that in TQ or in my (limited) time on GD.
Why not simply retreat if you've forgotten to stock up on pots, are low on health and need a potion that's in the midst of a swarm of mobs ? Most probably you will just die doing that.

And about the autopickup, I don't really care. GD does not drop as many pots as TQ, so it's less a bother... But I don't think autopickup changes anything in terms of "challenge". The situations were it could just do not seem realistic.

And if a guy hogs every pot in MP and refuses to share, chances are he would do that with manual pickup too.

Autopickup potions would be great if the potions would be split in the group.
Either everyone gets one potion if someone picks it up and the overall drop rate of potions is reduced, or it cycles who gets the potion.

I'm currently playing Titan Quest with two friends of mine and I love how the gold is spitted up. We don't have to care who it collects.
And if the potions would be auto picked up and split in the group no one had to bother with it.

I like the Idea really much

Same here, id like the option to be a toggle or something, not default but as said above...
