Cool 2 Cool Set Ideas

This idea is based off of Lee's Legion, or the 2nd Partisan Corps (official name), a mixed unit of infantry and cavalry within the Continental Army (the Americans) during the War of Independance. General Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee, father of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, was given command of a unit of Light Dragoons, which he quickly outfitted and equipped in a similar style to that of the British Legion (also known as Tarleton's Raiders), led by the infamous general Sir Banastre Tarleton, nicknamed "the Butcher". This unit of Light Dragoons, given the nickname Lee's Legion, sooned joined up with Captain Allen McLane's Rangers, becoming formally known as the 2nd Partisan Corps. General Lee soon modified the uniform of the Rangers in a similar style to that of his Dragoons, but the unit retained their role as infantry.
Lee's legion, now fully prepared for battle, moved to South Carolina to protect the colony from the British and to harass the enemy. Later, the Legion saw action at major battles such as Camden and the Siege of Yorktown, and after the end of the war, they were disbanded.
Anyway, my ideas for not just 1, but 2 sets, are as follows:
  1. Lee's Light Dragoons: Uniquely outfitted by General Lee, this unit of cavalry wore green jackets, riding breeches, riding boots, and the iconic helmet of all Dragoons, the Tarleton Helmet, named after Dragoon commander Sir Banastre Tarleton (see above). They were equipped with swords for close combat, but also used carbines for mounted shooting.

  2. McLane's Rangers: Merged with General Lee's Light Dragoons to form the 2nd Partisan Corps, this infantry unit had their outfit modified by Lee so they looked similar to his Dragoons, while still retaining their role as infantry. They wore purple uniforms and trousers, shoes (I think that's what they are in the pic below?), and identical helmets to the Dragoons (Tarleton Helmets, see above for the link to a pic). They were equipped with muskets with bayonets for close combat.

All in all, I just wanted to suggest this set because I think it would look wickedly cool, fit in (relatively well) into the setting (Dragoon units are still around today afterall) and also, it's a nice little reference to the American Revolution.
Hope you like this idea, and feedback, as always, is appreciated!
Cheers,
Younghappy

Looking good. Where do you get these awesome pictures?
In a Timis in Quebec or maybe New Brunswick on the road trip to Halifax. Still trying to stay in touch.

The only thing I would be a bit afraid of with such a unique set is that parts may not mesh too well with other items in the game. This is some pretty unique gear, especially if the colors are preserved. Still support it though
