Default Graphics card question

I had posted how my crap gt520 plays the game but have a question before I upgrade.

My old card before it died 560ti had two 6 pins that plugged into my 700w corsair. The GT 520 has none pullin from mother board.

Iíve been looking at either the evga or asus 1050ti (cause they are cheap) both seem to only pull from mother board not needing the 6 pin connectors.

Is there advantages/disadvantages from this? And which brand would you choose between the two? The 560ti was evga GT 520 asus, what came with pc in 2012.

It means they only need 75W which is supplied by the PCI-E slot. A 6pin adds another 75W. More powerful GPUs usually need more power.
NVidia GPUs usually need less electricity than Radeon.

What is best for you depends on the rest of your components, monitor and what games, applications you need to run. Tho usually 4GB ram is pretty low nowadays.

I donít really use my computer for many games just arpgs. Mouse and keyboard purist. Diablo 2, (a rare occasion 3) Titans Quest, Grim Dawn, maybe Wolcen when itís released. So donít need the big hitting 1080ís probably not the 1070. Could save up a bit more for a 1060 but getting the wife to allow for any upgrade is next to impossible, thatís why I got to go cheap with the 189.99 1050ti on Amazon. The 1060 is 279.99 for the 6gb version.

Yeah so assuming your resolution is 1080 or smaller a 1050ti can handle your needs and tide you over to better GPUprices.

Which exact model in this price range mostly depends on price. I don't know the USprices but looking at amazon.com the zotac 1050ti mini is only 170$ and would be my choice.

I'm playing with an old GeForce 9800 GT on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600... Grim Dawn is not that hefty on the requirements as you can see with my oldtimer
