Default The Walking Dead: 400 Days

Has anyone completed the DLC yet? (About to give it a go.)

I don't have it, but I youtubed it.
I kinda have mixed feelings about it though. The stories are good, but they are just way too short. Basically you play as five different characters (one at a time), and each one can be beat in like 20-minutes.
There are some nice easter-eggs, such as the game including little bits that tie into the original. For example (don't worry, it's not a spoiler), one kid (Russel) at the beginning of his story hides on the side of road, and he ends up right next to the corpse of that one chick from the original game. And there are some other mentions in the story too, but you have to pay attention, or you will miss them.

Like I said, the mini-stories are good, but WAY too short and end way too abruptly. And the end was extremely unsatisfying, as it ended in a huge cliff-hanger with zero resolve.
I don't know if Season two will clear anything up or not..?
Overall I have mixed feelings...I mean, it's nice to get more walking Dead, but it was ultimately not satisfying. Kinda like giving a thirsty man a drink of water, and then giving him a bunch of crackers afterwards. Which I'm sure was the purpose...to get people anxious for season two...which felt a bit cheap in all honesty.

From what I remember reading, the 2nd season is supposed to draw directly from decisions made in both the 1st season, and 400 days. It's an interesting idea, making it where decisions made in an earlier chapter of the previous game direct the story flow of the following game.

There are only a couple of games I can think of that have done this to date.

I read a review of it and while they thought the idea was good, the stories seemed to lack depth, maybe it will open up as it progresses.

^ I'm not sure what you mean ?
But there aren't going to be any more stories for the 400 Days, as it is just this one time thing.
This is it. 5-stories that can be beat in like an hour an a half (total).
It's pathetically short.
If they were going to go this short, then they should have just focused on one story, and not tried to cram in five.
I really don't know what they were thinking.

400 Days is good...but ultimately too short, nothing gets resolved, and there are so many loose ends.
But it is just a place-holder (go-between) from season 1 and season 2.
So there isn't going to be any more in the 400 Days story arc.

The Mass Effect series, the Dragon Age series, the Witcher series.

As for 400 Days, I think the intention is the have Season 2 focus on the characters brought together at the end of the DLC. Telltale has said that this was meant as a bridge and that's about as bridgey as it gets.

The choices made in DA:O affect a few pieces of dialogue and nothing else in DA2. The choices in the ME series do indeed carry over and have small effects, mostly dialogue, which are all (along with any other choice you ever made in the series) rendered completely meaningless by the 3rd game's ending. The choices in TW1 are mostly just a few pieces of dialogue in TW2, though there is one character that does or does not appear depending on how things played out in TW1, but ultimately it makes little difference to the story of TW2.

I thought the DLC was average.
Hopefully, Telltale can deliver with The Walking Dead Part 2.

Default 400 Days

I'm with the majority here.

I felt that the stories while interesting, were really too short to feel any kind of real attachment to the characters or their situations.
