Default Blizzard's Titan MMO delayed...

http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/05/29/bl...ay-until-2016/

Wonder if they will scrap their original plans (like they did with D3) and include the RMAH like they did with Diablo 3.

Heard Jay Wilson was moved to that team. Who knows what they are doing.

LOL!
Also, can a moderator change the title to 'Blizzard's Titan MMO delayed..."
Epic typing fail from me.

Lets remember Blizzard's past history...

Warcraft Adventures : Lord of the Clans - Blizzard felt it was dated and needed a major re-work. Result? Cancelled.

Starcraft - Ghost : Do we need to discuss how often this game has wound up going back for refinements? I don't think Blizz has yet stated that it's officially been cancelled, but I dare say I doubt it'll ever see the light of day :P

Will be interesting to see what happens with Titan...

I'm under the assumption it is being delayed because they had it fully st up for an AH or some other sort of money for items system... but after so many left Diablo 3 and there was mass complaints on it they are changing the project to remove it. Even Jay has said the AH was a monumental mistake.

Sight unseen I have my doubts I'll even consider getting the game. My time with blizz is well over considering the only games I played from the company were the Diablo and SC franchises and both have lost their luster to me with the latest installments.

It'll be interesting how the news unfolds on this one. My prediction like others that it'll be canceled at about 80% of development.

I highly doubt they would ever completely can it. WoW has been THE cash cow of cash cows, but it's obvious that it's losing steam nowadays. While I don't see them hitting another grand slam like that again, they'd be fools not to try.

What I'm about to say seems on the surface to be a bad idea, but if you think about it, it would work.

Blizz needs to scrap Titan and just do a completely re-worked version of World of Warcraft, from the beginning. New engine, more classes, quests, mindless grinds, and storylines than ever before.

The hordes (no pun intended) of voracious WoW fans would be lined up at the front doors of every Best Buy and Gamestop all across this country. Even given the mass disappointment of D3, a "new and improved" World of Warcraft would be a big deal, and sadly, would make Blizz tons of money, whether it was actually good or not.

I have to admit, even I'd be curious. I still play WoW occasionally on a private BC server.

Of course it would have to be FTP with an item mall. Subs are dead.

I would only play it if the micro-transactions are for cosmetic items.
(No other way.)

Don't have the time to invest in games like this anymore.

You could be right though. That WoW movie is coming out soon, so maybe Blizzard is trying to ride the cashcow wave one more time.

P.S. Thanks to whoever edited the topic's title.

I would think that with some of the negativity towards D3 and a little bit for WoW's MoP I'm guess that they really want to nail Titan and no mess up with it.
