The basic idea is that Replicator can clone things. Things include different objects of interest including:
1. Pets 2. Monsters 3. Projectiles 4. Self 5. Maybe some other game environment things like exploding barrels. I shall explain. Pets Replicator can create clones of his or his friends' pets. This clones may have reduced (or improved) HP, time of life, resistances an so on. The Clone Pet skills can improve the number of possible clones, their power and duration. Monsters The same as pets, but cloned monsters now fight on Replicator side. The Clone Monster skills may improve the highest minster level to clone (like Replicator level minus 10, Replicator level minus 7, minus 4 and so on) and maybe the time of clones life. Projectiles Replicator may have some passive skills that raise the number of projectiles shot by Replicator. For example Double Barrel skill: chance that Replicator weapon fires 2 projectiles instead of 1 is 10%, 20%, 30% and so on as skill progresses. The same can go to magic projectiles. Also Replicator may have some aura skill that clones enemy projectiles flying around and shoot them to random directions. This skill may improve the number of clones of projectiles. Self (or friend) The skill that clones Replicator himself or his player ally. The clone becomes AI driven and may use all skills that Replicator possesses and even Clone Self itself. So the clone can summon pets and so on. The skill progression may be like this - all summoned Replicator Clone skill levels are -10, -9, -8, -7 ... of Replicator skill levels. Also there can be two different Clone Self skills, one for long ranged tactics (Replicator Clone that uses magic and ranged attacks as primary) and another for tanking (Replicator Clone close combat skills as primary). I think that the main advantage of such mastery is that it combines very well with all other possible masteries. It can add firepower to all types of playstyles - mages and rangers get extra shots and distracting dummy-targets, fighters can get an ally and pet commanders can have a larger army of pets. Neat idea, I think there's something of value here. Perhaps a fully dedicated cloning mastery is a little over the top, but as a wizard in D3 I can attest to the wonderful, beautiful value of having a team of clones on my side. Having a similar skill to use with a ranged character in GD would make me really happy.
