Voted for option 3, but not because (as the wording of option 3 says) you're "not good enough"; you should have at least one SC char and make it to level 80 and basically have it there to test shit out on, learn patterns, etc. before throwing yourself head-first into the deep end that is permadeath. HC is appealing to some, but that doesn't mean not using SC to prep you for HC - imo you can't exactly learn on HC when one misstep and your char goes boom before you realise what's happened.

Default Going to try SC

Sounds like something I should think about. But, I'm going to roll a SC toon as well.

I have been using Squib's Retaliation Warder build - SUPER FUN (for first time play). The tank in the game eases my mind while learning the game.

I'm going to look for a faster more atk oriented build to rush through the content. Any suggestions?

I would vote SC as well. I have a few characters who have made it to Ultimate without a death, but that is after learning the content through countless SC deaths. Sometimes things just happen too - you have one moment where you lose focus or get boxed into a ground effect, etc. I don't think this makes you a bad player. I say once you have learned what it will take you can give HC another shot - particularly if you are thinking about taking on Nemesis and so forth.

Dunno... do you skip or do the Conflagration/Immolation quests?
A character with 30k HP would die in the same time as one with 5k just from standing on those green slimy mats for a few seconds (easy to do with lag spikes). Personally I find several aspects of the game too aggravating for me to play HC lol... esp. the monsters that explode when they die... esp. when you're melee to have 20+ rift scourges/worms die on the same spot from AOE leaving behind stacking poison mats which kill you almost instantly if you stand on it for 1 second for example...

Only way I would play HC would be if someone from HC mode would give me a death ward/empowered death ward amulet, and mark of divinity for free lol...
