Default GOG and Steam conflicting downloads....

I bought Grim Dawn on GOG.com, and my concern is, if I download the Grim Dawn expansions on Steam, will there be conflicting files or data? Can I still download the expansions on Steam and play like normal?

They use different installers.

Steam's expansion won't work with GoG's base game and vice versa.

Steam has a far larger playerbase, if that's what you're referring to.

Yeah, I had a question, and posted on GOG and Steam, got nothing from GOG and a bunch of responses on Steam, so Steam is my go-to for questions.

You can continue your "GOG chars" with the Steam version of the game - I think you need to disable Cloud Saving in GD's options for the latter. But unless you also buy the expansion(s) from GOG, you will not be able to play "Steam chars" with the GOG version.

I'm not sure, but I don't think Steam will allow purchases of a DLC for a game you don't own on Steam in the first place. Best to check this out.

You can play the Steam version of GD with GoG GD characters. Assuming you have the same DLC for each game: Steam and GoG (simplest version).
