I'm whole-heartedly against D3 (and I have no idea if they have anything like this as I quit that game a lil before the Auction House faced extinction) but I'm all for this particular mechanic, and I suspect a large majority are as well. It makes all kinds of sense and all the people who have spent thousands of hours trying to complete a set are assuredly breathing a sigh of relief. @Zantai is right.. GD is tremendously generous for drops but when it came to set completion it fell short. This was the last great hurdle in this area for GD and I'm glad Crate was paying attention to the conversations concerning it.

Not that I doubted they were. I knew it was just a matter of when, not if.

I was thinking that this would make getting sets too easy but on second thought, you need a considerable amout of iron and a spare set piece. Yes, you can craft the head piece but that's expensive as shit, and if I understand correctly, the set piece you get by doing this is still random, so it's a cool idea.

And a new rare crafting reagent we know nothing about. Maybe it drops once in a century. Or maybe once in the aeon. For every player combined.

Great news, devs.

I am so pleased how awesome Grim Dawn has become since the first alpha footage. Thank you for your hard work!

Well, as long as it doesn't drop as often as, oh, component pieces now drop but not as rare as, oh lets say... complete sets drop, then I'd say they should be able to home in on a sweet spot.

The whole idea of this mechanic is to ease the frustration, not add to it.

an awesome feature, and much needed!

I'm beginning to feel that FG will take the game to the next level as it seems to add all the things the game is unpopular with some people for...
if that is the case, it will draw a lot of players from other ARPG's, because the only thing truly holding them back will then be the fact that this is a single player game, no big hurdle (and I am not being sarcastic)

Personally not really excited by this...if u farm u find ur items...any...all...and u dont need to waste resources when u can actually play the game instead of clicking a buton for the item...

This is just 1 little thing from what is comming i presume...so really anxious to see the actual new content of the game.

But also i dont mind it...very little work...so why not ? Better rolls might come from this...after u grow a beard on ur back...but they will come eventually...
