Default Hello Musicians

Hey, I was wondering if there are any other musicians on this forum. There must be more considering the number of people on here. Maybe we could make some sheet music for the Grim Dawn music, or no, it is for games and background, we could make a nice epic theme.

I am a tuba player and this is my fourth year of playing. My euphonium player and I play duets and he has about seven years under his belt, not that that means my copious amounts of practice haven't caught me up to him. I have my own instrument, it is a nice Hirsbrunner from Sweden (I am Canadian). It has some history in my area but I don't know any of the people that have previously owned it. Got it at an auction for $600, what a freaking steal.

So lets hear about you guys and your musical talents and such. Possibly compose an epic Grim Dawn fan theme. Fan theme now that is something I haven't heard before.

I've been playing guitar for about 14 years now. I don't play in a band or anything but enjoy playing along some of my favorite songs or writing my own stuff. I did take piano lessons but no longer play one. I do however use that knowledge to compose music in fruity loops.

I cannot call myself musician yet, as I am still learning. I've been playing guitar for a year. I love it, but I still suck hard at it.

It is the best form of relax though! =)

'sup.

I have played guitar since I was 14. Although being married and back in school unfortunately leaves me little time to play these days.

Good to see how popular the guitar is, everywhere. I once had an instructor (for tuba) who said to me and my friend (who plays bass) "You have got to be good because there are 10,000 other bass players out there. You, there are 200 or 300 tuba players."

That was a joke obviously, there are more bass players than that.

Haven't tried doing any cinematic music yet, but I have that in plans. I'm mostly into EDM right now, so probably not best genre that suits the theme.

Closest to 'game music' is a remix I was doing long time ago: https://www.box.com/s/jr9oa1r8qs96wicnabja. I wanted to do this happy chip-tune sound out of it, but have no time or willingness to tinker around it anymore, so it sounds as it sounds, tastes and preferences aside.

Anyway, I do it for fun and not tend to anyone else's needs or standards. I might not get very far, but I like it as a hobby and enjoy what I do. It's a very relaxing time spender.

I've been playing drums for about 10 years. I then also picked up guitar, which I've been playing for about 6 years. And I also know a little bass and keyboard.

I'm quite into composing and mixing from my little home studio. If anyone's interested in having a listen to my tunes they can be found over here. The music can be loosely described as instrumental, progressive metal/rock.

Hiya guys!I'm a 9months old guitarist(i'm 26 but i started very late,in february)and for the time i'm in a band formed by friends and we play metal-grind-hardcore,which is the best way to learn play guitarXD
I own a gibson les paul studio but for the saturations and distortions we have i should change pickup, instead i decided to buy a second guitar, not yet,but it's in the planning.I would like to buy an ltd viper 1000 U.U
I also have basic knowledge of cubase(recording and a little editing).
i used to sing in this group but without some lesson about growl i ruined my voice a little,so i passed on the guitar ehehhe

What a cool idea! I can't help with this due to the fact that I sold my alto sax which I had played for 8 years. I also play the drums, but nothing impressive at all. I like to fool around with it every few months with a few friends. Would love to hear a collaboration from some of you more serious people though : D
