Default Cadence Reborn

Hey guys,
I made a new build around Cadence. B27 slapped me hard in the face in order to realize that Cadence and Procs don't work as well as I'd wanted it to. As such, I decided to get rid of ALL of my Weapon Pool Skills (except for Belgothian's Shear and Amarasta's Quick Cut) and re-invest them in Field Command with Squad Tactics, maxing out Pneumatic Burst, and getting crowd control skills, and re-adjusting my skill point distribution in the Cadence Tree.
Now without Further ado, let me introduce you to Cadence Reborn:

Contents
  1. Overview of Skills (Soldier and Nightblade)
  2. Gear, Components, and Augments
  3. Tips while Leveling
  4. Conclusion

Default I. Overview of Skills (Soldier)

I've re-adjusted my build so that without bonuses, the skill build would look like this. With bonuses from gear, the skill build will then look like this. Now I'll go over why I set my skills that way to show where I wanted to go with this build.

Soldier (Rank 50)
  • Cadence
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 16
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 21
This is the skill that let's you kill stuff. With help from CC skills, you'll be able to clear large mobs with this skill.
  • Fighting Form
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 4
AOE isn't really needed since you have CC skills, but this does improve the damage output of cadence. I'd recommend getting a juggernaut with +1 to Fighting Form
  • Deadly Momentum
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 3
Even just putting a point into deadly momentum is just enough to make Cadence OP. Imagine what skill bonuses can do.
  • Fighting Spirit
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 3
Very useful one pointer. Gets even better with skill bonuses from gear.
  • Military Conditioning
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 3
Used for a little bit of HP and Defensive Ability.
  • Veterancy
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 3
Gives some armor requirement reduction to wear certain gear.
  • Blitz
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 4
Between Blitz and Shadow Strike, I find Blitz more useful then the latter, especially with it's skill augment
  • Blindside
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 5
This makes Blitz AWESOME. Definitely worth putting a point in.
  • Decorated Soldier
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 6
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 8
With physical damage, and elemental resist, this skill is heaven-sent.
  • Scars of Battle
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 6
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 8
Gives Armor Absorption, bleeding resistance, stun reduction, and freeze reduction. This is the BEST defensive passive EVER!
  • Oleron's Rage
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 3
Mops the floor with Boss Monster Carcass

Default I. Overview of Skills (Nightblade)

Nightblade (Rank 25)
  • Dual Blades
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
You're only getting this for the WPS.
  • Belgothian's Shears
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 5
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
Gives you a chance to get to Cadence after one attack.
  • Amarasta's Quick Cut
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 3
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 5
Gives you a chance to get to Cadence after one attack.
  • Pneumatic Burst
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 12
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
Burst Heal and Total Speed Buff because it's just that awesome.
  • Belgothian's Breath
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
Because Breathing makes you live longer, so remember to breath, kiddies.
  • Blade Barrier
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
    This is your Oh-Shit skill
  • Ring of Steel
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
Use this skill if mobs are close to you.
  • Blade Trap
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: N/A
If enemies are close to each other but they don't surround you, use this skill
  • Anatomy of Murder
    Rank w/o Bonuses: 1
    Rank w/ Bonuses: 3
Greatly increases damage and chance to crit.

Default II. Gear, Components, and Augments

If you somehow find gear that's better then the ones mentioned feel free to use them, but the highly recommended ones are going to be the ones provide skill bonuses as this build still has some aspect of Min-Maxing to it.

Default III. Tips while leveling

Here are some tips to take note of while leveling.
  • Max out Cadence as early as possible.
  • If an item recommended is equipable, equip it.
  • Once you get to level 10, start putting points into the Nightblade mastery until you max out Pneumatic Burst and Breath of Belgothian.

Default IV. Conclusion

Cadence is still OP, but this build just makes the playstyle of the skill more interactive and powerful. Tell me what you think about the build and if you can, give suggestions as to how to improve it.

As far as I know, B27 changed the interaction between Belgothian's Shears, Amarasta's Quick Cut, and Cadence. These procs now only supply one charge. Although I find the extra targets very welcome, Belgothian's Shears seems a little slow for my taste when combined with Cadence. If you decided to avoid these skills, you could also remove a point from Dual Blades. Breath of Belgothian allows you to dual wield.

Fighting Form, for me, should always be maxed in a Cadence build. The extra target is very important, and all that crit damage is far too good to pass up. I should point out that I'm addicted to getting my crit rate and crit damage multiplier as high as possible. There's something about those giant red numbers that is deeply satisfying, and my primitive monkey brain likes to surpass my previous maximum damage dealt.

Optimal gear is going to have some "of Attack" items in it.

1500-1600 OA is possible at the moment. You can end up with 49k Cadence crits.

The more I play with cadence the more I think there's a hidden chance for a 3rd strike to miss
Last time it missed on Alkamos, he had like 2% hp and (I had around 1500 OA too), I got a little greedy and he killed me. Playing with blade arc since then, lol
