Default [Spellbreaker] Soul Stealer [Hardcore]

Update to B28
New gameplays, level 60 Grimcals and Devotion.
I didn't change anything much, put more point in IEE+Overload, max Execution and put some point in AQC for more chance of WPS to proc, I leave it at level 4 so it has slighty less chance to proc than Execution.

"So you want to be a Soul Stealer? Here's a guide on how to be one! Sap
them energy and life of enemies"
From the lastest hotfix give a proper skill to Soulthief, I looked at it, and it was changed to 3s CD WPS instead of active skill, this led me to think of taking avantage of the WPS to boost DW proc skill, that's execution. This means I can have 40% chance WPS (DW Soulthief), while Soulthief's WPS skills on 3s cooldown I'd have 40% chance to use Execution!!. This feature is truly game-changing. Enjoy the ride!!

ATTRIBUTE DISTRIBUTION
Physique : Spirit - 47 : 13

PROS
-High single target damage
-Agile
-Have a lot of CC and escape skills
-Never run out of energy

CONS
-Leveling can be a bit dull at first, the build start to come together when you can DW Chosen Blade
-Low surviability, which can be conpensate by MSP,CC and escape skills

Leveling and Tips
-Start out as NB get Belgothian's Shears(5) and Lethal Gambit(1) for leveling up to ACT2 with Pnuematic Burst(3+),Veil of Shadow(5+) Night's Chill(1),Shadow Strike(1),Ring of Steel(1),you should have 25+ in mastery around starting act2. Then spend some point in IEE(8+), get NB bar to Execution/Nightfall, get more in IEE, Mirror,Inner Focus,CT. I reccomened getting Maiven at around level 38+.
-Consider chosing Kymon's Chosen for Chosen Blades, they'll carry you to lv 50 easily
-You can use Enchanted Flint instead of Coldstone for Fire Aura
-Ring of Frost + Callidor's Tempest is your best emergency escape combo while MoE is on cooldown
-Reflect Hurt!! Be careful
-Sacred Strike your main target for resistance reduction

***Below is when the character is fully buffed (No Shard of Beronath charge)***

SKILL COMBOS & TECHNIQUES BREAKDOWN

COMBOS
1. Soul Snatcher (Ring of Steel + Callidor's Tempest)

Harvest the very souls of those who stand within range.

2.Soul Reaper (Shadow Strike + Sacred Strike + Abolish Evil >< [Ring of Steel + Callidor's Tempest])

Leech life and energy, weaken enermy for the final execution.
Effective combo to finish single target in a seconds.

Techniques
1.Drop like Flies (Any from of CC e.g. stun,freeze + Callidor's Tempest)

Everybody.... Drop like flies.
There's a recipe here to stop targets knockdown away, do any other form of CC before apply knockdown, after the first CC wear off, they're going to knockdown right away at the location.

DEVOTION

My Devotion Route

Chaos Crossroad > Complete Viper > Eldritch Crossroad > Complete Scholar's Light > Ascendance Crossroad > Complete Empty Throne > Comeplete Chariot of the Death > Complete Hawk > Remove all Scholar's Light > Remove Eldritch and Ascendance Crossroad > Complete Rhowan's Crown > 1 point left to Order Crossroad

Rhowan's Crown
This one on it own give the highest flat elemental damage and a lot of % elemental damage, the celestial effect is also strong and have quite large radius, I find this one fitting the build most.

Blizzard
An alternative for those who want more visual effect, this one will put you into more of a cold based build, with high cri chance this will proc very often. The chance to freeze and % weapon damage are very useful. I didn't choose this because I felt like it changed my char into cold oriented build.

Chariot of the Death
I chose this because it provides % OA and vitality resistance, besides the celestial effect isn't that bad.

Recommended Devotion

-Viper
-Jackal
-Chariot of the Death
-Blind Sage
-Hawk
-Tempest
-Armatok the Spirit of Winter
-Dire Bear
-Sailor's Guide
-Tsunami
-Eel
-Crane
-Empty Throne
-Rhowan's Crown
-Leviathan
-Dryad
-Aeon's Hourglass
-Ulo the Keeper of the Waters
-Owl
-Behemoth

I like your build a lot, what do you think to change nightfall for Trozan's Sky Shard or Olexra's Flash Freeze.
Do you find useful calidor, because it do also aerther damage?
I think the Soulthief sword need to give +% aerther damage instead +% vitality damage, plus they are green it associated for aerther damage not vitality damage.

Changing from NF to TSS is definitely viable, but going that route would alter the build to be more caster, the reason I picked NF because I want some more AoE, CT with 6 secs cooldown is quite long, beside that life leech fit with the theme of the build. TSS would cover both AoE and single target just fine, maybe try that out so you can see the differences. I agree with you that Soulthief should give % aether damage than vitality damage here, that would be a nice change I'd like to see.

Hi Zars

Just want to say thanks, this build is awesome and shaping up to be one of the most fun builds I have played, and I am only lvl 35 - already getting 3.6 k crits! I can only imagine at 50 with my dual Soulthiefs waiting in stash.

If I may - I would just like to offer some additional levelling gear choices :

Reaper's-Touch lvl 17 requirement only and STILL using! - I dual wielded these until lvl 35 then swapped in 1x Cortosian-Invoker. These and the Glacier relic have carried me a long way, the procs are really powerful. I also feel a better chest option than Magnison's is Fanatic's-Overcoat and another option for head while levelling is the Devil's Cover with flat elemental, elemental % + offensive ability etc.

Also, I was not sure when to drop lethal gambit from the left click - ended up dropping it when I got Blessed Steel / Sacred strike and it seemed to work out fine. Another option for the glove slot which raised my dps quite a bit is Inscribed-Bracers. At lvl 35 now, about to choose between Kymon's and Death's Vigil - Chosen Blades don't seem to matter since I feel I can get to 50 easy with my current setup - but I still went with Kymon's because of the lvl 70 armor augments - Chaos + Vitality resist, I think that is a solid option for the future.

Build definitely deserves a bump Nice videos and explanations mate.

Duncan, as Duncan offers magical damage bonus when crafting, while angrim offers physical damage types.

Is this build fine for softcore as well or does it take a lot of defensive stuff that isn't necessary?
