Default Make dialogs more "rpg" oriented

I know it could make delay the release of grim dawn but hey! diablo 3 is going to be released about 2015 .

The case is I ever hate diablo conversation system, you can't make any choices or at least different anwsers.

For example in the upcoming Deathspank the dialog system is more rpg oriented despite the game is an arpg, you can choose more than one choices per dialog.

Diablo is one of those games where your character is set on a defined path, there is no variation in how that path turns out. So having different choices in a conversation don't make sense for current Diablo games.

As for if Grim Dawn should do this? Eh... it's just a lot of extra writing, maybe extra coding, it's not totally necessary for the game either. But that's up for the Dev gods to decide.

I know its an unnecesary feature but its a cool one. In my opinion these kind of things makes the difference between a good game and a Great game!.

Well, I'd like them to focus more on polishing other areas of the game personally. What I would love to see though, is choices for quest rewards. Hefty sum of money, experience or random rare weapon for example... Shouldn't be that much of a work as no additional dialog is needed.

Focussing on the roleplaying part can be cool, but it's really not the reason why most people play action RPG's. So, unless it's easy to make, I'd prefer to see the devs spend their dev time elsewhere.

After all, grim dawn will be hack'n'slay and not rpg. I just read the dialouges in TQ once, as I did in every other h'n's I played. On the second go (and sometimes even on the first), I just click them away. Having actual choices is nothing I ever missed here. So for me it would be nothing more than a quite useless feature...

Agree. I don't want to think after first play through. But I still sense somehow this could be done. That is by not making choice by choosing answer to dialog but by action. Anyway, I think that's more work to write up more branched story like that.

So no RPG dialog.

This is the kind of thing that needs to be done to the fullest to be worth it. I'm not really seeing it being feasible for this game...then again I'm not working on it

That's pretty much how I feel. I think you need pick a direction - Diablo or Mass Effect... It is pretty hard to do one of those things really well let alone both.

I think there is a reasonable chance that we'll have some elements where you make decisions though action rather than dialog and it can produce different results. It won't be like a long branching story arc though.
