I did not play the original. I have played about 45 minutes of this one. My initial thoughts are:
1) I have to muck too much with the camera (but where is zoom?) 2) These graphics are not as good as I was expecting 3) And speaking of, where tee eff are rest of the graphics settings? 4) This is not very open world yet. Do we have different definitions of open world or does it open up later in the game? I will keep playing it, because I really want to like this game. Just have to see if any of my first impressions become deal breakers. |

there aren't any graphic options, they never added them in, we hope there will be a config file at some point, but who knows, as for the other questions, no idea as I haven't got the game

Well I am giving this a pass for now. I am not playing or paying a half-assed port. Not coming back to it unless the put in the graphic options. Disappointed since I've been looking forward to it so much

I got a chance to play it for about 6 hours and while i enjoy it I find myself yerning for something bigger and badder to fight than a giant earth crab... also i know without a doubt that if i couldn't fast travel or ride Dispair to get from point A to B i would be very, very boring.
The story is very basic to non-exsistant for me too you have a few characters to talk to but they give you little information except for a few scentences and a 'go there' indication or quest, most of which you can't even complete until you get The Makers Key and a tool to help you swing along the little metal rings found all over the place (I'm thinking its Fury's Whip as I already have Strife's Gun). But as I said before i'm liking the game, but not loving it the way I loved Darksiders.

It starts to pick up tremendously towards the end of the first world (sound like you are about there). I actually mentioned earlier I felt the game just didn't feel as 'epic' as the first, but trust me, it gets there
![]() The second world is MUCH more interesting than first too, much cooler and darker. Also, at the end of the first world the story starts kicking in as well.

I'm still rock collecting for blackroot but you make me curious to power on ahead. Unfortunately i'll have to wait until tuesday (which is my day off) to play. *sigh*

Going to pick this one up in one of the sales once they've added some of the PC port options that should have been there to begin with. Aside from those issues, sounds like a great game. These types of action games aren't something I pay full price for though.

Makes sense, I think it will go on sale fairly quickly TBH. Anyways the game does scratch your loot itch as well so I think most people here would enjoy it on some level at the very least

Nearly done with the first world by now. This last big boss was just plain awesome. Just need to collect the last stones for blackroot and the missing hammer for this smith-guy, than I'm off for the next world and the crucible. My fingers started itching the same moment I read of this feature for the first time. Game itself has some flaws - experienced one B2D, all this jumping and climbing feels a bit too much and the fights are most of the time way to easy but overall this game is just great. From what I've seen now Darksiders hat the better protagonist and the better story but it felt clumsy from time to time while Darksiders II plays nice and smooth. And hell - there's loot in it! Really missed this in the first part!
