This is pretty neat. Brütal Legend (either console) signed by Schafer himself for $20.

It's a little ways down the page.

While the game itself certainly has it's issues, I did enjoy it immensely for the Double Fine style world and characters. It's like sticking your head into someone elses imagination.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Brutal Legend - but I'm also a fan of Jack Black. The game does get a bit repetitive in the later stages, but is fun. The story isn't too bad, and it has a great intro that actually leads into the options screen

This doesn't do anything for you as far as what you paid for the game goes, but have a look at the Morrowind Overhaul Mod Compilation 3.0. It should be out in the next couple of days. It doesn't quite bring the game up to Skyrim levels of graphical quality, but the changes are pretty darn staggering. It's absolutely amazing what the community has done here. The best Elder Scrolls game, now perrrrrrrrtier than ever!

GOG.com has a bunch of TopWare titles 50% off over the weekend. The highlights in my opinion are Gorky 17, a little known but quite good turn-based RPG that plays a bit like Fallout 1 & 2, but party-based, and Septerra Core, one of the very few jRPGs made for the PC and a good game in its own right. Both titles are $2.99 right now.

The only problem I ever had with Morrowind were the character models. The rest of the gameworld and the like is still very good. But the characters...omg. Whoever built them and their animations should be tarred and feathered! Did they have even a basic understanding of movement and human anatomy?

They are, without a doubt, the most atrocious 3d models I have ever seen. I'm not a "GRAPHICZ!" person, but damn. Considering that Quake3 was released three years prior to Morrowind, or that the characters from King's Field 2 (released in 1995 for the PS1, seven years and several hardware generations older than Morrowind) are better looking, it's just appalling that this garbage made it through QA, and approved for release.

It ended up being one of those occasions where the visuals negatively impacted the end product. Not because they were trying to be cutting edge, but because they weren't even trying to be pleasant to look at. Point of fact, animated 2d sprites (like Might and Might VI for example) would have been a far better compared to what they did have.

Default Titan quest

first, thank you keyrock for mentioning the morrowind mod
(I will check it out when released)
but now there is another game discounted on steam, an action RPG no less.

and it's..... Titan Quest Gold for €2,49
for the very few people on this forum who do not yet have this game - highly recommended. there are also mods for this game - but for a first play I recommend only using the community patch :

http://www.titanquest.net/tq-forum/f...ugfix-Fanpatch

right.. are there any people on this forum who do not have this... (?)

Hah, there's a cheap TQ pack if someone still needs... Probably like everyone here has it already though.

Edit: Hah, you beat me by 2 minutes Jeroen. :P
