Some suggestions;
* As you may have noticed, these two are the same hybrid. Personally I prefer Pyrotechnician, but Engineer is a more familiar term to people so that is why I listed it, because if the hybrid name was engineer, people would immediately know what it is. If it was Pyrotechnician, they may not... ** Not sure if Janissary would fit Grim Dawn. It fits the two masteries, combat and "gunman", but it might not fit the setting. If it didn't, Fusilier would also work. By the way, Crate said themselves the obvious choice for a future mastery is a "gunman", but it may not happen 'till an expansion

I know that we will be able to befriend or oppose some factions in the game. Will such relationships have an effect on our class or hybrid names? What I actually mean it would be awesome.
Being a soldier may have different meanings in different factions. For instance: 1. I'm a soldier and I'm a follower of Hussar faction -- Zoldak (means ruffian in Polish) 2. I'm a soldier and I'm a follower of Dark Gpysies faction -- Mickey (in reference to Brad Pitt's character in the movie Snatch.) In Turkey, soldiers have a general nickname. Regardless of his name, each soldier is referred as "Mehmetcik", which means "Little Mehmet". Mehmet is a Turkish name derived from the name of Islam's prophet Hz. Muhammed (Mohammed in English use). After converting to Islam, it had become popular among Turkish families to name their new born boys "Muhammed, Mehemmed, or Mehmed(t) in regard to the admiration the prophet. Why such a religious reference to a military issue you may ask; it is because any one who gets killed at a battle for national causes is considered a martyr. So, dying for his Islamic nation grants the soldier to be a martyr and the most admired person in this religion is its prophet, Hz. Muhammed. As you can see, being part of a faction (nation, group, pact or whatever) actually has an effect on one's class name in real life. Since I do not know the whole story and political situation of the places in which the game takes place, so I cannot come up with ideas. Yet, the development team may.

Nice idea, oyalinkaya! if you join a faction and you're class changes names to suit that faction like you suggested, that could lead to some interesting names;
Occultist joins up with the Mining Company (suited better for a Demolitionist) = Enforcer Demolitionist joins up with the Dogs of War (Mercenary faction, suited better for a Soldier) = Hellraiser

We don't know which/how many factions will be in GD, but this would certainly result in too many class names. Besides of this, you don't join factions ...

That's why a characters class cannot be renamed in relation to factions within the game database and GUI. Yet, it would affect our dialogues with certain factions. In other words, members of different factions may call us with distinct nicknames or titles, again in accordance to our level of relationship with the given faction. For instance, a chacarter may be referred to as titles I've written in my previous post, within two different factions. I know that the factions I have referred are not official. They were just some examples. It would be fun to have different reactions from members of different factions, in accordance to our relationship with them. A member of a faction for which I have done nothing may greet me "What is it, stranger?"; and a member of another faction that likes me a lot may greet me "It's nice to see you, Zoldak (or Paladin, or Warlock, or Marshall, or whatever). How may I assist you?".

![]() Cheers, Younghappy Edit: I could see them using more friendlier names however. Like "Brother", "Mentor" or "Headman"
