| No, that seems like a bit too much automation and would diminish the reward of it. |

I'm all for auto-pickup, however, I'd prefer it to be toggled, and prevent your character from doing stuff while picking up potions, e.g fighting and picking up stuff at the same time.

The only way this works is if the items that drop in game are only available to that character, such as in D3. This is a part of D3 I really like. Nothing worse than in D2 when you group kill Baal and one unique item dropped and the dude with the least lag got it. Sooooooooo Useless.
So yes, if loot is unique to the character Im all in favor of auto pick up. Ohhhh yea......the potions HAVE to stack or else they take up all your inventory. |

As long as the stack system is implemented in a way that makes picking up said potions tolerable then Hell Yes! Obviously if stacks were small or non existent then no, but I think a good stacking system on common items (like 99+) would work well in tandem with more auto pickup options. But either way you look at it, whether you would want it or not, just making it a checkable option in the gameplay settings would be wonderful. I could even think of other aspects where I would like it:
I'm sure there are many more. Good discussion! ~J |

Hmm I don't think it is a very good idea. This trend of automating actions in gaming is starting to worry me. The more people get used to having the game do all the work for them then the lazier gamers are going to get. Sooner or later people will expect the potions to use themselves once your health reaches a certain amount.
Clicking loot is half the fun of playing these games for me. I don't find the process tedious or laborious because it immerses me in the gaming world and makes me feel as if I am actually grabbing the items myself. |

I agree with you, Rodney.
If it's in the game, I really hope we can disable it. |

That was my vote. If you are going to implement it though, please give us the choice in the Options whether we wan't auto Pot pickup or not. On a topic like this which is such a close call, I think as oppose to pleasing one 50% of the voters, instead try to do the best you can to please both sides. Thank you, I appreciate you getting on board with the players and asking for there input. All the best |

If the game is difficult, making you really NEED TO FIND pots, having it auto pick up will spoil the whole "YES I FOUND A POT"-feeling, much like if it were to pick up all awesome stuff you find automatically.

This. I would personally prefer no auto pickup on potions but if it's added I would like the option to turn it off.

if there's an open stack then I figure the program should be smart enough to plunk fillers on the stack. if the stack is maxed out then I'm cool with that pot(or other stacking item) staying down until i pick it up.
course there's going to be times where I pass a potion then and bemusedly think, hey why didn't the auto potion pick up, when in fact the stack is filled or I've just used the last one. |
