I can't remember if this was possible in TQ (my memory, while shoddy, says no lol) but would like to suggest being able to link loot into the chat bar to show members in your party items.
Always thought that this was a very handy/nifty feature in the games that have it.

You could, but that's not as good or convenient.

i did not say either of them. i just said it existed in some way. but it makes sense that you can trade items instead of chatting them, even though it is more convenient.

I'm not suggesting getting rid of item trading...all that linking loot in the chat bar does is give a much easier and more convenient way to show people items in game. You don't have to stop and trade and open up trade dialogs just to ask if someone wants something...you can just link in the chat bar and keep on trucking.

I made extensive use of it when playing WoW. It'd make for a neat MP feature.

It seems to be the in thing to do in games right now...D3 has it as does Path of Exile.
I like it to a point though because it can overrun the chat it's self. Too often I've seen someone in PoE list 10 or so items and interrupt a conversation. On the other hand D3 has a specific "Trade" chat channel...yet no one or very few use it and they still post stuff in general chat. It just goes back to my point that players in the games these days care less about others or respect others in the game. Having this feature to show everyone an item in chat allows a bunch of people to see the item a player just found or wants to sell or trade. So overall I'd say the good for this feature outweighs the bad. |

I don't think the issue you brought up can even be an issue in Grim Dawn... PoE has high player count global hubs (the towns) and general chat channels. TQ didn't have this and GD probably won't either. As far as multiplayer and communication goes the most people you will be able to talk to is the handful (if I remember correctly TQ had a max player count of 8) of folks in your game.
