Still there is no point buying HoN. If you buy warcraft you get a shitload of more. The number of mods exceeds any imagiantion, and the game itself is still one of the best rts out there.
There something like no balance isuuses in dota, just newbies believe in it. Still in leaguge game some heros are prefered, but more cause there are less luck based. I still want to try HoN, alltought i think i will stay at playing dota. |

If you haven't even tried it, how can you say it's not worth buying?
The ranking, matchmaking, clan systems, replay info (creep denials, time of kills, etc), reconnect support, server filtering, and stat tracking is leaps and bounds better than dota. It's just $30, which is nothing if you plan on playing it for more than a couple of hours. |

With Free alternatives like DotA and LoL, HoN is a 30$ DotA reconnection and a better replay tool.
And anyone who has Dota Replay Tool and GArena will figure out that HoN offers nothing in reality. On top of that:

They have the full consent and support of at least Icefrog. He's said several times that they have his blessing.

The are dota rankins, there are matchmaking systems(not on bnet), there are clans, there is a replay and you get all needed infas . Some wc3 working on a reconnect for wc3. So in the end i get nothing for 30€ which i can get from googling a bit.

HoN's still free atm (beta), it's an improvement over DotA. Even if you consider it only a slight improvement, it is an improvement nonetheless - can't see how you think it's worse really - I'm assuming that's just the irrational fanboy talking.
HoN's built for DotA, Wacraft is not. Sure, it's perhaps the most unoriginal title ever to hit the market and that sorta bugs me, but it has the blessing of Icefrog, so that's not really a huge issue. I'm not even sure what you mean with "it has no professional teams"? Talking about what will happen with HoN due to SC2 - it might as well effect games as LoL. After all, you can probably create all mods that will go in LoL. Perhaps it'll do little though, as HoN is focussed on DotA gameplay. We'll learn later this year. Making predictions about this makes no sense though.. I don't like hassling with third party mods really. If I really like a game I might try out some mods. But I'd prefer to have it all in a convenient (virus-free) package without searching and investigating for many hours of what mods to use for what. |

I play LoL almost daily at lunch. It's a great game. As for Free-to-play I wound up spending about $35 on it to get the heroes I play religiously, and a couple cool skins I wanted (ya it's important to me! I gotta look cool ganking!)
Needless to say I haven't gotten around to playing HoN but I know that it's pretty popular in China. B |

For HoN, I added an Asylum101 to my friend's list. Also added Roros (not sure if that's you though, Roros?). My nick is yerkyerk.
