Hey
The sadest thing I have in TQ was that I couldnt improve my blue weapons/armor so i have to use the green stuff. The actually sad part is, that the best looking items were the blue items so if it is possible and you agree with this i would love to see the best looking weapons/armors be able to enhance. what do you think about it? regards Hanfried |

I'd love to see this in GD, too. This would upvalue rare and unique items, because you can adjust them for your build. I think I could not use them in TQ sometimes, just because my character would have become too flawed. Being able to enchant them, would help. However, their base stats should be lowered a bit then.
BTW - you can enchant these items in TQ, if you use TQ Defiler.NET ... which also means, this would be easy to implement in GD (I think so at least).

I hope there is a simple but deep crafting, enchanting, finding, building, leveling, etc system to different items.
Imagine a type of weapon that levels with you like Dark Cloud, but others that have simply random mods, and other you can forge/craft/enchant for specific bonuses. Set/Unique/Specific items I think should go the route of still having at least one random modifier. (I don't know how the game is exactly set up for items atm... but these are just my thoughts) |

It's always sad to replace a rare or unique low level item with a higher, more powerful uncommon green piece. But, if the low level gear leveled with the character, then there wouldn't really be a need to get and find new gear, would there? Unless there's something I'm missing.
I suppose if you could either: 1) Apply the stats from newly found higher level green gear onto your current lower stat rare or epic gear, I guess that's OK. 2) Create a wardrobe slot so that your low level rare or epic gear is what you see, but the high stat gear is what is really equipped on your character. |

Yeah, well, it was done only(?) because the rares/epic stuff would be too powerful if enchanted, so I think all this is just a matter of balancing, thus easy to implement. =)

![]() Well I thought about improving weapons and armor with the oldschool TQ enhancements and I thought what if you can enhance 1. with normal enchantements, if you collect something like in TQ 2. What about Gems? I'd love to improve it with gems as well. Have you thought about this idea? Or dont you want to make it? I could be a Job ingame that u have to collect "what ever" and then you can craft the gems at a shop or so. 3. Improving with scolls. Maybe scolls you can enhance your weapon (only) with a scoll and it is only for 500hits or something like this this would be sooo damn awesome^^Best Regards Hanfried Last edited by Hanfried; 05-14-2012 at 11:23 AM. |
