Paypal option for kickstarter donations

I'm from germany and like 90% of the people in my country I don't own a credit card. Please give the people from europe a way to pledge for grim dawn. Wasteland 2 had a seperate paypal donation site too.

I would've really liked to support this but I'm surely not going to get a credit card which is from the consumer perspective even worse than paypal. Sucks

You might want to ask a friend or family member, who has a credit card, to help you out.

No need for credit card. Just setup an Amazon account (they accept debit cards) and pledge through Amazon payments.

Do you really believe anyone registers on a new payment provider to pre-order a *single* game?

If you don't want to deal with paypal, then use BMTMicro and let them deal with it.

German EC Cards are the standard payment here. You either accept a payment option that uses them in some way, or your German customers are gonna be very rare indeed. That is not intent as an evil comment, that is a reality any INDY knows about.

Also, Amazon payment does not accept EC cards last time I looked, do they now?

Hi,

I understand your frustration about PayPal but believe me, we are even more frustrated that we can't offer it. It isn't that we don't want to deal with them, they banned us from using their service because they claimed using a donation button without being a 501c registered charity was a violation of their terms of service, even though they let plenty of other companies do it. I have no idea why they singled us out.

Anyway, I'll look into BMTMicro. Thank you for the suggestion.

It's not an answer since no question was asked, and it's not ideal in any way, but it's a possible solution and probably easier than trying to get a credit card.

From the Kickstarter FAQ:

Can I pay with a check? Send cash by mail?
Sorry, Kickstarter only supports credit card payments through Amazon Payments.

Why can’t I use Paypal? Why can't Kickstarter just take my credit card info?
