Why Crate?

Perhaps, although crates are rather bland, mundane objects, they can sometimes be holding something of great value... what do we expect out of Crate? Us here on the forum expect greatness, but we know that there's a possibility of not finding treasure.

Those on the outside, won't even know what hit them if this game comes out a success. It's usually the simplest and most basic of names that catch on the quickest... and for plenty of different reasons.

I guess the simplest explanation would be that "good things" generally come out of crates in the world of gaming.

However, there is also a bit of a deeper, more philosophic meaning to it that is tied into our game-making ideology. I have to take off for the night but I think I may actually do a write-up on this for the dev-discussions section in the next couple days.
