Hey Medierra,

I just want to say you guys are doing a great job! Keep up the good work! TitanQuest was one of the best games ever made... ever. Heck, I still play it all the time! Please don't be discouraged; there are plenty of fans waiting patiently for GD. I'm one of them.

I know that in a lot of my posts I bring up issues with TQ's skill system, but the only reason I bring them up is to, hopefully, raise your awareness to them so that GD can be just that much better. Please don't take my criticisms to mean I don't love TQ (or GD when it comes out). I really do love the game. It is still a weekly passion of mine. Heck, I've been regularly playing TQ for so longthat I know GD (even if it's a third or quarter as long) has to be awesome. Hang in there!

If you want the information to flow at a pace like it does most big studios, you also have to consider that none of that big studios starts to release information as early as Crate did.

If Crate still kept their game a secret, and only made their very first Announcement like in April or something, they'd also be able to keep up a faster flow of Information.

Don't you think it is a gift to get Information much earlier on - even if at that earlier time it is rather sparse and infrequent?

That doesn't mean that Information won't pick up once release is nearing, or that they will then - when other studios would only start releasing information - will release less than others.

Am I missing something? I don't really understand what bugs have to do with this?

We're building off a codebase that has already shipped two games and with hundreds of thousands of people playing TQ:IT, the remaining major bugs are well known. We spent some time fixing the bugs carried over from TQ:IT and, though we've added some new features, right now the game is pretty solid. Occasionally bugs get introduced as we make changes, but we actively fix them and I'd say this has easily been the least buggy game during development of any project I've worked on.

If the game is delayed, it will be due to content development taking too long. ARPGs require a lot of content and we're a small team. Creating all of the art we need and building out a large world filled with quests is what is going to take the vast majority of our time.

We probably will be releasing a gameplay video in not too long. I think that we haven't done so yet is just a combination of being unbelievably busy the past two months and maybe a little stage-fright. I think we released our first screenshots a little prematurely and we took a beating over that. I want to make sure when we release gameplay footage, that it meets people's expectations.

innoruuk, if you have not visited this site for 3 months, then you have missed the details, which have been announced on the forums since. Admittedly, I'm referring to simple posts. A lot of things require a lot of effort, but do not produce anything presentable. If you are disappointed then this is due to your expectations. Crate revised their roadmap - you can't predict the future - and I think it is for our benefit:

So after a lot of tinkering around, we figured out ways to overcome some of the initial limitations we were working under.

Now we've pretty much locked down the feature list and are working hard to finish the game. We have a lot of environments developed and gameplay systems set up but we still have a lot of content to build out.

Hope you appreciate this.

Just take your time with it. Make sure it's gonna represent the quality of final product, unlike the early screenshots.

Just because the first gameplay videos you are going to release, are the most important ones probably. Once the word gets out and a lot of people get to see the video that does NOT represent the final quality, there's a risk they aren't gonna bother with next batch of footage and will miss out a great game.

Video representation is in fact one very powerful tool of raising interest and expectations. There's no room to mess it too much, in my opinion.

Just take your time with it and make us drool uncontrollably when we get to see the gameplay (and to make the wait even harder, hah!).
