I've been looking at the sceenshots, and I'm very curious about the art assets used in Grim Dawn. I'm a wannabe artist, so I'd love to be able to add my own models to the game :D.

Can you tell me what the polycount is for your characters and creatures?

What 3D Modeling software are you using? Will you release exporters/importers for the major packages such as 3DS Max and Maya?

What size textures are you using and in what format? Are you using simple diffuse textures or can we use specular and bump maps as well?

Do you use multiple textures (seperate hair, face and body) or just one texture map?

That's all I can think of for now. But a wireframe screenshot of one of the characters wouldn't go amiss :D.

I'm not sure but maybe this (http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4512&postcount=26) could answer that.

Here are some answers, hope this helps for now.

2,000 - 5,000 tris Depends on the character/creature really.

We currently use 3DS Max.

We use diffuse, normal, spec on everything. Some get color spec, but most don't. Size ranges from 256x256 to 1024x1024

Do you use multiple textures (seperate hair, face and body) or just one texture map?
Currently, our player character main body is tied to a single texture. We then swap out body parts when we put armor on him. This allows us to create more form fitting and unique clothing. Hair will be on it's own texture sheet, like we do with helmets.

The asset manager takes .psd files (photoshop format) and compiles them into .dds

This is great news! Thanks for all the answers. I use both 3DS Max and Photoshop (so it looks like I'm in business :D).
