Afaik, the current estimations are that the alpha will be released early 2011, game mid 2011. But the game industry is apparantly a fragile bitch and these estimations are very rude.

I say, Crate should take all the time they need.
In another topic, I believe it was mentioned that a number of Crate employees have other responsibilities, and can often only contribute during the weekends.

I am a patient man, and Crate is made up of many talented artists. So, if Grim dawn were to slip to X-Mas 2011 that would be fine by me.
Grim Dawn is said to be an ambitious game, which the Developers hope to be high quality with plenty of replay value. They simply don't know exactly when the game will be available because they want to make an absolute gem of a game that does everyone proud. It's a slow process and funding & manpower is extremely limited, but the team is highly motivated and eager to make a great product (judging by the comments posted by staff members and the many hours of fun I had with TQ).

Rest assured, it will be well worth the wait. And while it may take a long while, I personally am going to feel extremely proud that we all were part of a group that helped fund & support this game the best we could, and hopefully we can spread the word so that this game & genre will become more successful in the time to come.

It is a special game made by special individuals and the end result will be magic.
I'm sorry to sound cliche or overly optimistic, but I have never been part of a game from the developing stages until completion, and although my part is so miniscule compared to the developing staff at Crate, I can't help but have a feeling of awe, and be so energized by such an ambitious title that we have the unique opportunity to be a part of, that I have no problem waiting for however long it takes. I just wish I could help out more.
