Okay so this is a problem I had a few months back, leaves me in fear of contacting customer support from AT&T anymore. My internet was down for 4 days strait, I, at first, thought it was a network problem, so I call AT&T and they tell me all the basic troubleshooting tips that I'd normally do. I do all that then I tell them it's still not working. They don't really take my word for it and keep telling me to check over and over to make sure I did it correctly. After that, the customer support agent told me that they'd work on it...

A day passed. Still nothing. I call AT&T again and I ended up waiting about 1 and a half hours on the phone listening to a recording of how I was going to be forwarded to a REAL PERSON until I finally gave up. When, and if I got to a real person it would be the same troubleshooting over and over.

After all that time, finally on the fourth day I saw some people outside, I didn't know what they were doing, but they were FINALLY doing something about it. Worst customer experience I ever had...

I think that AT&T has rather good support. I don't know who you were speaking to, but we just switched our home services back to them recently [from Time Warner]. Time Warner IS by far the worst. We have UVERSE.

We also have our cell phone service through them. We've had cell phone service through them since I was like 8, 10 years. My grandma had service through Bell System since like I think she said 1940, then when it was forced to break up she got ATT in 1980-something. They must be doing something right because she's a woman you don't want to mess with o.o!

I think ATT's service is good, just that one experience wasn't too pleasant for me.
