I have to admit now, at the rist of the exposing the extreme old n00b that I am, that I still haven't managed to figure out what are the classes in the game!
I did understand that we will have different "professions" that can be combined together to create hybrid classes like in TW (a system I like alot!), but what are the actual "professions" or classes? The Occultist(sp?) video looked amazing, and me being a fan of archers and rangers, wonder whether that will make him my choice once the game is out... hmmm.. so many unanswered questions
Would anyone be kind enough to clarify things a bit for me here?:)

From all that we know right now, Grim Dawn will at the very least be based upon the same system as in Titan Quest.
And when it comes to explaining how things worked in Titan Quest, I find it best when Titan Quest itself does it: http://www.titancalc.com/
Pick two masteries, get a class. Invest points, unlock tiers, invest in skills.
Grim Dawn is set to ship with 5 Masteries. Combat, Demolition and Occult, plus two currently unrevealed ones.

Thanks for the answers, you guys! I now see I need to get deeper into TQ IT in order to truly understand this concept of no defined classes. A new thing to me :)
Reading your informative links as we speak, thank you!

They are defined, they are just created by combining two masteries (sets of skills) rather than choosing a single one ;)
See titancalc (http://www.titancalc.com/), that might give you an idea of how this works (the yellow line / row shows the masteries, the other cells show the classes you get by combining the two)

all you need to understand really, is that it provides double the fun, double combinations and a variety of varied classes which will suit you better than predefined classes. it's an opportunity to carve your destiny by assigning each skill point in any mastery you'd like with possible synergies and with best possible results. it also makes hybrids very strong although they are more difficult to play with.
