not sure if anyone has seen this game? got the news about this game from steam, going to be released on 6 April, it seems from the description sort of like Krater as that is also squad based

its for the PC only, which is a good thing, you can get boxed copies if you live in the EU (its a French company) or digital download if else where, while it might be good, there is one major turn off

third party DRM: ACT Control
5 machine activation limit

that's even on the steam version, and activation limits are getting to be a major pain in the backside, so I probably won't touch this game until that horrible DRM is patched out, why of why do there need to be bloody activation limits? beggars belief

still apart from the DRM, this might be an interesting game to get, it has a 30 hour SP campaign, then MP, the game is based upon a board game, (I never heard of the universe) anyone interested in this? not sure myself, I think I will hold off until they decide to remove the DRM, steam is one thing, but adding extra DRM to a steam game really makes me mad, so I thought it was better to warn you about it in case anyone is interested, and Im sure the boxed copies will be the same

otherwise it looks pretty good, may wait for reviews before I really decide to get it

Yep, saw that a few days ago, was thinking about looking into it and then see if I might buy it - the DRM will totally kill it for me though.

yeah, the DRM is a complete no no for me, I really wish they would remove it, as activation limits are just bloody silly

looks good though, so here's hoping that the DRM will be patched out at a later stage, but one to look out for, just not right away, not with DRM like that

just read a post on the official forums, the game requires steam regardless on where you get it from. as for the activation limits, you do get them back if you uninstall the game, I suppose that isnt too bad, but I think its stupid putting extra DRM on a steam only game. what the hell are the publishers thinking of?

I will wait until its on a steam sale, probably a few months down the line we see this with a 50% discount, and we all know what that means don't we? the game hasn't sold very well, with DRM what do they expect?

I won't bother with it at this stage, looks interesting, but not interested at the moment in time

Yeah, that DRM makes it a no-go for me. Just having steamworks is bad enough (though I can live with steamworks), but having this on top of it? Will not buy.

I actually purchased it yesterday, although I didn't play it yet due to time constraints. I'll check back in later once I play the game a bit.

The DRM is a non-issue for me, it's 5 licenses which I doubt I would ever use in the first place, and you can revoke licenses and 1 license is automatically returned to you every month even if you don't revoke it.

It's just not something I see as ever effecting me or worth bitching about. Especially considering I purchased it on Steam, which in my eyes is MUCH heavier DRM than that. The whole online/offline mode thing barely works and more than once I have been out my entire Steam game library during moves and things like that. This is only a 1 time per install activation.

I think they should not have even put DRM on it in the first place though due to the negative reaction it gets, but it's just not something that will effect me so I'm not going to let it dictate my purchase decisions.

well if you can go a quick review of it, once you given it a blast, that will help, Im still interested in it, so if it is decent I may still pick it up at some point

Definitely will do...trying to read up on reviews/opinions myself at work today and haven't been able to find much. What little I have found, hasn't been all that positive heh.

yeah Im reading a few reviews as well, it seems unless you really are into the table top version, a lot of stuff gets very confusing at times, names and places so hard to keep up, and its not really a true RPG, just a few light touches here and there

judging from the reviews I think I will give this game a miss to be honest

Got a chance to play the first level yesterday...pretty dull is all I can say. Basically controls/plays like Dawn of War 2 but the mouse controls are REALLY bad. Graphics are fairly poor, and while there is some nice art work it's just generally very bland.

I must have been drunk when I bought the game (I think I was lol!)...I think this game only really would appeal to fans of the board game. I'd imagine the online multi-player (PvP) is the main star of the show.

Honestly trying to remember why I decided to buy this game in the first place heh. I remember sitting at my desk with a glass of 7 and 7...and if I remember right it was my 3rd glass too heh...must have saw the game and thought it was more of an RPG than a tactics game and just impulsively purchased it.

That's what I get for drinking and Steam'ing.

well I will cross it off then, no point getting it, and to be honest with you, I wasn't really a big fan of DOW 2

no real loss, and money saved for other things

Not impressed with any of Cyanide's titles. They seem to be able to take a promising property or IP and pop out a turd of a game.

I'm not exactly a fan of them myself...but I did half enjoy Loki. I still can't believe I dropped $40 on this game though, no idea what I was thinking.

I paid full price for Stronghold 3 and Sword of the Stars 2.... so yeah... I know remorse well. :)

Being a huge fan of Game of Thrones their history is really concerning! Confrontation is not reassuring me either.

I bet I still get their upcoming "Dragon Age" GoT game though (and even pay full price)

I've not been following that one closely out of fear. I have read a few comments here and there indicating it looks pretty bad though. I believe I watched one of the videos, saw what they had done, and immediately wrote the game off as a turkey. I'd love to be wrong, but... I don't think I will be. I'm not a GoT fan, but I would bet fans would be even MORE disappointed with what they end doing to the game and world.

I'm not too worried about the world and story:
