Last week I saw an trailer of this film and was surprised how similar it is to Titan Quest. Looks like an adoptation of Titan Quest to movie=)!!!
The creatures like harpies, gorgons, scorpions, the armor and weapons, the setting, THE GODS!!!
I mean this should be very cool! Look forward to this movie:D
What do you think about it?
Here's the IMDB link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800320/

The original is one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. The new one...I dunno...looks too over the top.

If it is a remake, then it is doomed to be bad. This is the one decent remake (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120787/), I can think of right now (the original (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046912/)).

Just a short remark on the similarities to Clash of the Titans and TQ. They're guaranteed to have similarities being based on the same ethos as far as beliefs go.
As far as watching this movie goes? I dun mind, I'll watch it (perhaps not in the theatres though).
Cheers,

The trailers looked bad, imho.
The whole "Titans... will... CLASH" bit was horrific. I think the later trailers changed that.
The action looks good enough though, but I think I'd rather watch the original...

I'm actually looking forward to watching this movie.
I also can't wait for the Hobbit to come out to.
They just don't put out very many GOOD Fantasy movies.

Actually the fantasy genre is the least used nowadays. VERY few fantasy worth watching (LotR is a far end milestone, one of a kind). All other are cheap movies. Or it has cheap story (Harry Potter anyone?).

What's wrong with harry potter? it's better than *cough* twilight *cough*

I don't much care for Harry Potter. Just not into them.
Will not even bother with Twilight.
Dragonslayer was good, but it's quite dated now.
Most other fantasy movies did/do suck. Off the top of my head I can't think of any that were any good, except dragonslayer & LotR trilogy. I think there were a couple of others, but I just can't think of them.

Yeah, since were talking 70's and up fantasy movies:
Lets go with The Hobbit (animated, which was awesome), the Last Unicorn, Flight of the Dragons, The Black Cauldron, The Sword in the Stone, Eragon, Dragonheart (and two...), Dungeons and Dragons (or whatever the movie was called), Vampire the Masquerade (The television show, based off the white wolf table top game system - fantastic show), and TONS more.
Some of these were good, some weren't. I'd even add Golden Child to the list...
but eh,
Cheers,

Eragon was surprisingly good...I didn't expect it to be either.
But I object to the Dungeons and Dragons movie...what a steaming pile of turd that was lol.

I actually somewhat liked Dungeons and Dragons. Probably a huge dissapointment considering their IP though. But I never was into D&D, so...
I never got why Eragon did as well as it did. Now that's turd incarcate..
As for the older fantasy movies; Legend and Willow spring to mind.

Pan's Labrynth? Hmm, Hellboy, Hellboy 2... Underworld, Van Helsing..
Ooo, and also - Alice in Wonderland (the remake coming soon, which looks fantastic...)

Now were getting somewhere!
But seriously yerkyerk, that D&D movie is one of the worst movies of all time. The character that Wayans brother played has to go down as one of the worst, most cringe worthy character in the history of cinema. I wanted to strangle him through the entire movie :D

Stardust was ok...but wow did Deniro play a weird role lol...it was unexpected :D
I enjoyed Pandorum a whole bunch! I even tributed my avatar to it!

Beowulf from 2007 is pretty good fantasy (motion capture) with an great soundtrack (especially "A Hero Comes Home" by Idina Menzel).

That was a bit of a 'meh' movie. Not horrible, but it adds nothing either.
Pretty boys usually don't make for very engaging warrior-types, especially in ancient settings. Brad Pitt was a total miscast for that role. As was Orlando Bloom.. oh well.
That brings back '300' - with a cast of ugly bearded, raging lunatics :)
And how come nobody mentioned Jason and the Argonauts?
