Converting a skeleton into bone piles you can kick over to uncover loot- nothing is more fun than desecrating the dead and robbing them of their last worldly possessions!

Are we literally kicking it? Or is it like in TQ were it basically pukes the loot at you?

What would be really cool, is a bone pile that turns into a skeleton when you go to kick it over for loot. :)

You literally kick it and then physics takes over causing some of the pieces to break, scatter and roll around.

As a person currently addicted to Dead Island, let me just say F-yeah!

Kicking, despite my initial hesitations, has turned out to be a really cool thing. What else can we kick?

Ohh, when we could only have skeleton enemy, now that would be great. You don't need to explain it in the story, fu%@&* the story, i want to kick some skeleton ass.

No way. Ratmen were a poor choice imo; but did sort of fit the desert theme.

Regarding the topic: Will we also be kicking huge jugs and doors and furniture?

Sounds cool to me, but there were bone-piles in TQ as well.
Not that I mind, as I personally like the concept.

Although the occasional skeletal corpse would be nice too, as it would add some variety.
Maybe even a zombie that appears to be dead, until you go to loot it, and then it gets up to attack you.
Of course, some of the skeleton piles need to be traps too, such as shooting a dart or knife at you, or detonating a fire, poison bomb, etc. That way it keeps players a little cautious.
;)

Well the difference is that in TQ you clicked it and it magically puked out loot. This time you kick it over with actual physics and it pukes out loot.
Can't you comprehend the awesome?!?!?!?!?!ß?!?1?!?!?1ß

Except in TQIT, the loot just magically poofs out and flies everywhere. Here, the GD char kicks the pile of bones and loot rolls out, bones fly around with physics!

Ah shit, guess we better cancel them! :p

They are in more corpse-like format this time. I'll post a pic...

Already in!

Oh great...that's what caused me to shoot every single corpse in Dead Space. Several Times. Repeatedly.
Guess this will cause me to throw grenades on anything that even looks remotely organic...or not organic.

Yes!

I love/hate this feature in all games that have it. It really gets you in the game, paying attention while at the same time, if you let down your guard, you get screwed over.

I always thought that the enemies in TQ were like Charlie Brown on the pitchers mound -- whack and their socks come off.

Oh, lootable skeletons/bone piles again! We've already seen this in TQ... I mean... Even the grass moves the same way?!

Pre-order cancelled!!1

...

Was just thinking, I wish some class would have actual kicking skill. I'd love to kick monsters off the ledges while shouting "THIS IS SPARTAAAAA", and lose all the drops in process. :(

Mmm, that looks nice.

Now you just need to scale the kicking force with stats, at high stats the force becomes so strong the bones turn into deadly projectiles that can be used in combat, loot+damage, what a delicious combo! ;)

yes, it is certainly more fun to kick them than click them, especially if they could be a trap. makes you concentrate more in what you're doing. one note, are the skeletons we are talking about only men skeletons, or could they also be skeletons of like monsters, beasts, etc?

lmao...

executioneer, in TQIT we had dragon, bull, titan and giant unknown skeletons. (unknown were from IT, before the stygian lurker, bull were everywhere, dragon with the dragon liche, and titan..well, it was walking so maybe that doesn't count)

So...my point is, I wouldn't be surprised if they had other types. (woman skeletons!)

Now that's what I'm talking about.
Those skeletons look like the owners died in a gruesome fashion.
Kinda like a warning or a bad omen.
The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I saw them.

A giant surprise might make that more exciting - I mean, what if the skeleton is still alive and attacks you for such a dishonorable act?

Would be a hilarious npc-encounter. You kick a skeleton-pile and instead of giving loot it kicks you against your knee and yells at you. To make up for it you have to bring the skeleton a new leg-bone.
I demand that this becomes an optional sidequest! (pwetty pwease?:3 )

Community quest:

You need to pay the offended skeleton an arm and a leg.

Also, this quest is generated upon a random bone pile once per game. You can find this near the beginning or the end of the game.

Does the skeleton have a name? What is their profession? Most likely warrior, I suppose. Most of the skeletons I meet are quite hostile and well armed.

I just hope I'm not a skeleton by the time this game comes out, but if I am, you better not kick me.
