Devs, I'm certain you are creating a new character screen in GD. However, please keep one function that was so useful from TQ: the ability to move weapons, armour (etc.) in and out of your character slots to see how they affect your stats.
Wondering how that new sword drop will effect your stats? No problem in TQ, just replace it with your current sword and see if it's worth keeping by how it effects your Average Damage, Attack Speed, DPS, Strength, Armour, etc... It's a very useful feature. It's all on one screen. Please keep it in GD.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't know of another RPG besides TQ that has this feature. Trying to see how various equipment effected your stats in Diablo, for example, was way more difficult. In that game, if you wanted to see how that new sword (or armour, etc.) would effect your stats, you would have to remember the stats of the equipped sword, then equip the new sword and determine if it's better than the one you had equipped. Yikes! I like the TQ method :)

What if they added a display screen to all the items that showed what stats would increase / decrease based on the item's stats vs the item you're wearing?

i.e an item comparison screen? This would be a lovely feature. I think that the minimum they will do is keep the character screen similarly user-friendly as they had in TQ, and hopefully expand to the point of the aforementioned idea.

Agree with you guys. I'd also like to see a "dress room", so that you can test equipment before buying from a vendor or trading with another player.

Or they could add a compare function. For example you get a new sword and right clicking on it gives you the option to compare it to something.

The compare function has been included to TQ (you need to activate it in the options menu) and I strongly expect, that I will be carried over.

Absolutelly agreed.
I liked the option in TQ where you would just hover over an item and it would compare it to the one you have already equiped. Neat feature.

thats hot!

Not only that, but I'd like an extra detailed mode where I can see a total of my bonuses from all sources, and a complete breakdown of all my damage so I can tell what's being factored into DPS and what's not. Also, spell tooltips change to reflect damage bonuses to the respective damage type.

Also "challenges" similar to boarderlands but you can see them and try to accomplish them for reward skill points, xp or stat increases...

Totally agree with ChillyWilly's entry post - and with Lmaoboat also.
TQs functionality to compare items has been (well, it is of course as I'm still playing it ;-) working quite well, but I miss some stats that would be nice to see, at least for advanced builds (chance to avoid missile and melee attacks and effects on elemental damage / spell damage that is mostly).
I also like the fact that you can 'buy' an item, eqip it to see if it really improves your build and if not, sell it back for the price you purchased it if you haven't left the trading window.

i found it difficult in TQ to compare new weapons to my old relicced or charmed ones to see which is better. i hope this is made easier.
