When designing concept art for environmental objects, are you asked to get an idea of how it will be breaking apart as well? Or is that a complete separate entity altogether?

I dig the aesthetic a lot. How much did you flesh out the context of it? Are the cracks under the rivet from construction or from stress? Also, what kind of lectern is this? The base suggests it's for standing, but the proportions would make it hugely wide. Very cool.

The flies are a nice touch.

Now, just give him a special attack that makes a crow, or several, appear and attack the player. :)

That is one scarey scare crow, the six blades ready to slice and dice could make for one nasty foe. It might be a bit on the flammable side though.
