Awesome track. Very mellow and soothing, yet puts you in the mindset that something is about to happen.

...puts you in the mindset that something is about to happen.
Taking a cue from the title ("What Once Was"), and sad tone, I listened to it from the other direction, that something had already happened; as though you were walking through a landscape that was once vibrant and full of life but is now twisted and dead.
Oh YEAH! This totally rocks! Reminds me of a cross between a Western movie and 28 days Later!

Oh YEAAAH !!!
I just got chills, this is the kind of music that is so awesome that you actually stop to play and take care of the mood. Very diablo-tristram like, yet it really has its own thing going.
Love it!

While listening this track, I'd like a gunslinger mastery (http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2417) even more ! :p

Wow, that was crazy good. When the music alone can give you a mental image as clear as if you had just looked at a screen shot, you know you are going to be amazed and satisfied when seeing (and hearing) the final product...

Uh, I was thinking ... the song is so darn good that its lengh is really disapointing. I know this is a lot of work but it deserve at least 5 mins, if not 10! What d'you think?

Héhé, well yes but I was thinking to the diablo tristram music as a reference. You know when the guitar starts guetting all melodic and yet so aerial, with violons setting a so intense mood. I'm not saying it should be the same but I just think the music right know is a wonderfull base wich deserves to be extrapolated.

All I could think of was firing up Diablo for the first time so many years ago. That was a great soundtrack for this game. I should play around and try to rip some riffs for you guys. The problem is that I would most likely lose my mind and go blazing into a solo which would be inappropriate for the setting. Kudos to the music man/girl.

The "more to come part" in the news makes the naive little person in me have a slight slight bit of hope that alpha is on its way :P

Actually, you can have a preview of how awesome it can be : just play the environment video and the music together. This is just breathtaking.

I'm pretty sure it's been on the way all the time. It's only a question about when it arrives ;)

Yeah,Diablo 2 first act was what came to my mind too. I really miss that feeling, it's something different from the usual epic orchestra drumming battle-songs. A grim tale of a forgotten place.
