View Full Version : The Chat Thread
Hey guys, since (almost) every forum has one, why not start one here :D
Basically in this thread you talk about anything you want.
Lets start!
Looks you are all to shy to start a conversation, let me begin.
Hi guys, I'm sitting in front of my computer, eating plums and browsing various forums.
whats up with you?

I'm working on balancing chemical equations and drawing silly diagrams of triangles, because that's what's required of an engineering student.
I thought this was gonna be about an IRC channel... which isn't a bad idea.
How old are you ASYLUM101? I'm not familiar with the USA education system so I don't know if you're a student when you're either 16 or 20 years old :s
I thought of this thread more like a forum conversation thread, where u talk about stuff which are to silly to open a new thread about. The casual things...
Could be like an IRC channel too i guess :-)

I'm currently taking a small break from stalking Medierra. I'm likely going to get right back to it after I click the "Submit Reply" button. What's a good pet name for Medierra? You know, something that close buds could use. Med? Medi? Medie? Yeah Medie sounds good. I'm going to try that out. Thoughts?

You could do that. Mind you you would need a bob and a dress.

I saw it got terrible reviews, but if you're recommending it, I might give it a look. Though I still am only level 15 in TQ... maybe I should finish that first.
I have a bad case of crate-employee-stalking myself. I was Medierras first forum friend *feels proud*.
@Cordian: You haven't played Titan Quest until you're level 75! tho I only reached lvl 44

heh, I've only ever made it to lvl 68. That was with a templar; could take ANYTHING. Aionios is the best shield in the game for overall protection, with Zeno's Paradox coming in second.

Also: Coridan, if you're interested: Look at www.gamefaqs.com (http://www.gamefaqs.com) for The Last Remnant PC and then look up the review from that version. Gamespot gave it an 8 (http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/thelastremnant/review.html).

I used a green shield on my templar, I already had maxed resistances, so there was no need for Aionios. My ctap was around 30-40, and quick recovery was permanent. :) Anyway, I finished her at 55, I rushed through the game as fast as possible cause it was so easy lol.
I heard leveling from level 60 to level 75 takes more time than from level 1 to level 60. Is that true?
Man I hope I get my PC repaired soon so I can continue to kick ass with my ares level 44 or something and finally finish epic.

AH one thing first.
On Steam I think you can get the demo.
Try that before footing the $39.99 USD bill...

Yeah it takes a while to get to lvl 75. Just add up the experience and you'll see. As well, boss runs are the best way to go. I used to just cruise hades.
You can also get VERY good experience running Typhon on Legendary.
The single most experience giving enemy (non-boss) have to be those dark obelisks in act 2. Thing is, they're few and far between unless you run the telkine for 2 of them every single time. Chances are there's an exp shrine there too. As well there is at most one on the way to the tomb as well.

Woo, I'm playing The Last Remnant too! Among other things, I picked it up from Steam's holiday sales and now I probably have enough games to last till Grim Dawn... Too little time to play em. And I should be sleeping, as I have to wake up in about four hours, gah. Oh, and an irc-channel would be nice!

Now I'm off to school...

I've been taking a break from TQ, and decided to try Hellgate:London again. I can't decide if I like this game or hate it..?
I've also been playing a little bit of Torchlight. The game seems good, but for some reason I just can't play for very long periods before I get bored with it.
Kinda strange.
I'm also trying to decide whether or not to get Killing Floor..? basically it is another zombie game. I just can't get enough zombie killing. I'm like.."ahh, they want to eat my brain", & then I kill em (they really creep me out, in a good way).
I know Grim Dawn & Diablo 3 are still a long ways off, but there are others that I am waiting for that aren't ARPG's. Such as Aliens vs Predator, & Bioshock 2. Red Dead Redemption looks real good also. I'm also waiting for Kingdom Under Fire 2 as well. Other than that there isn't a whole lot that I am excited for (a few others).
My girl-friend sometimes thinks that I play too much video games....What, doesn't she realize that video games are the only thing that keeps me from going totally insane & banging my head against the walls ? :furious:
I am slightly exaggerating, but yeah, without video games I would be a wreck.
Thank God Crate is making gim dawn. I was actually thinking about how I would love another ARPG from the same team that did TQ before I actually heard about GD. I could barely contain my excitement when I did hear the news. :D
My girl-friend wanted to know why I was so happy, but when I told her she got a little upset because it didn't revolve around her. Women
Sorry for rambling on there for a while. I have plenty of time before I have to head in to work for the day.
It really is great to be on this Forum & to be a part of such an anticipated game. I look forward to not only Grim Dawn, but being a part of this forum as well.
:)

Woah there. Lay off the coffee =) (jk).
I know what you mean about Hellgate: London. I tried it out twice, and both times I just felt really neutral about it. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It just was. I guess the enemies were a bit bland and lifeless, and the characters and gameplay were the same way.
I played Torchlight for a bit as well, and I really enjoyed it. There were some serious balance issues between classes, and the fact that you can't rerun bosses was a pain. I thought they did an excellent job with the bosses, and that last boss fight which could last up to 45 minutes was great. I just wish they'd let you farm them.

And also, if you play underlord, I can ruin your farming experience by giving you all the mythic recipes in a Vault file?
